As was pointed out, why are they talking about tax cuts and not the cost of living crisis, ie increasing food prices and energy bills, those on the lower pay scale and using foodbanks are unlikely to benefit from tax cuts, because they probably ain't even over the tax threshold. Tax cuts will benefit the forthcoming striking train drivers though. <cough>

This. I have no idea how the topic of lowering taxes has possibly leered its ugly head; the cost of living crisis is literally the only thing people give a **** about and then you have the King of being unemployed, Jeremy Hunt, chatting about how corporations are being hammered too hard.

What in gods name is he on about. That ****ing woman too, Sheev Palpatine or whatever her name is, dump her in the ocean.

It's reared it's head because they are trying to do, what they did before, divert away from the poorest people by giving the sweetner of tax cuts, when in reality they are making an absolute fortune out of the tax on rising fuel prices and people want to talk to me about train drivers ffs!

They have already lopped 5p off fuel duty but the pump owners raised the price by 7p the next day.
Bulk fuel prices have been dropping for 6 weeks now but the price at the pumps has kept rising.
Blame the government for many things but not this one.

Jacob Reece Mogg And Priti Patel as PM and deputy PM

Kier Stammer and Angela Rancid would go into total meltdown at PM questionTime

I actually don't mind Angela, she's got a gob on her, but maybe it's what it needs to keep people in check. Starmer is too weak for me, although he made a good move by trying to not lean with the unions, or any idea of going back into the EU, so fair play to him on that.

Although i don't pay it i'm all for cutting NI as it gets you nearly nothing anymore but this is just political gransdtanding aimed at both their fellow MP's and membership but no plan on how to replace that money but efficiency savings . To which i can't help but wonder if there are all these savings to be easily made why have they waited 12 years to do them .

It's surprising how many people just look at the tax side and not at the NI they are paying, I swear some people think it's only 1 or 2% not sure i'd dare tell them it's about 13%, so on top of tax a third of your wages. Excluding all the taxes you pay once you actually spend what's left.

it gets you prettu much nothing anymore ad has become just a tax on employment which was my main objection to using it to fund the NHS / Social care fund when it should have been thru income tax .
