Quite surprised we’d be sniffing round another right winger to be honest. One of the few areas of the squad where we’ve got depth.

Yeah, can imagine Kompany will have first dibs at City's youngsters.

He’s already signed 2 very highly rated defenders from City.

Know nowt about the lad, if hes as decent as the article says its a hood shout & at 20 a nice age.

The thing with Broadhead for me, I want him to come back, but if our intentions are to play 1 up top presumably, if we got Broadhead we would still need another very capable striker capable of having a run in the side.

Stewart gets injured for a period, Broadhead capable of a prolonged run without injury. Yes we could loose any player through injury, but Broadhead looks like he will always have problems

Is that Moreno? Think he’s someone who can play up front.

Perhaps an alternative to Broadhead, although we do need to sign 2 forwards ideally.

I'd take Broadhead even with his injuries..13 goals in 27 speaks volumes. Wages apart, if we want to compete at the top end of The Championship he's the type we need. He's the most natural finisher since Defoe (1st stint) and Phillips.

Was just going to post this. He was spot on with the Clarke info. Also a Wimbledon fanzine saying a fees been agreed for him but no club mentioned.

Do the people that ok the Southampton shirts just spin a roulette wheel with multiple combinations of stripes each season and say "That'll do"?

If this is the case. Cheers for last season and its onto the next one for me. By this I mean I I the club don't waste all of their time on a none starter. But I've said in the past, if you want to complete you recruit from above... sometimes that means pay the going rate.

Huggins is another good prospect but I do worry about his lack of physicality at the minute. He has played very little senior football so I'd prefer him to go out on loan as he is a cracking prospect. Its great that we finally have 3 exciting young fullbacks at the club

Yeah, I think he is probably the wrong part of his development for him to do it with us.
Got to agree on his finishing, decent chance and he will bury it 9 time out of 10. That is hard to find!

I'm with you on this. He's such a natural finisher, I think he'll do it at any level with the right service. He also has the pace (providing injuries don't take it from him) to make it at the top.

People get hung up on the injury thing, but we need to trust our medical staff on that. No-one knows what "injury prone" means in regards to Broadhead and if it can be managed better or even resolved.

I think we need 3 new strikers regardless. We've seen that Broadhead can compliment Stewart and fits in well. The injury situation wouldn't be a big deal especially anyway because we can't play all 3 for 46 games and you have to assume that Stewart is number 1 - so the other 2 will be fighting for 30 starts between them depending on our approach and their flexibility.
