He's a good player and will do well at Southampton. Was really good for Rangers 2nd half of last season, I know loads of Rangers fans and they were all big fans of his
I think it was reported that it was 22000 I said it in an earlier thread would send out a message to everyone if we could top 30000 and now we have , we have supported the new owners and they have rewarded us with excellent business up to now with hopefully more good signings to follow . Nathan Broadhead would show everyone that we really mean BUSINESS if we can also bring him back to the SOL , come on KLD and Speakman let’s get him back that would make the supporters really really happy I mean really , really happy . Stewart needs support and unless our data experts have found a hidden gem I think most would agree that NB would do nicely . Come on the new management you know you want to keep us really happy - don’t you !!!
You can see why, looks technically good and has the physicality for a modern day fullback. Been impressed with him in tonight's game
I wouldn’t see any point in signing someone average to play instead of Hume. He’s highly rated, has played a lot of football for an 18YO including champions league qualifiers. Throw him in there
I was told today its just his wages with Broadhead, he has been on big bucks at Everton. We were paying £8k of his wages last season so Everton must have been relieved to get him out on loan. I honestly don't think we will match them or what Watford will offer. And a few other clubs.
£6m rising to £10m is a good price these days. He probably won't start every week for them, but he'll contribute to the squad and not look out of place when he does play. This will presumably mean Smallbone will get the green light to complete a loan move now (potentially to us).
As much as i rate broadhead, he’s made of glass and o wouldn’t want to be paying massive wages for a player who might miss 5 months if the season with muscle strains and tears
Broadhead is a funny one, as he is clearly class but do worry with all the injuries he has had. He also wouldnt be a starter so cant see us paying big wages. I would like Troy Parrot on loan and maybe that Moreno from City who we've been linked with.
I really like Broadhead however, due to his injuries, I also wouldn’t be gutted if we didn’t sign him. No idea is it’s accurate but there are a few articles in the Scottish press saying Ellis Simms is available for £500k. Very different player to Broadhead but I was impressed with him at Blackpool. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/foot...-of-move-for-evertons-ellis-simms-3757507?amp
If thats true I would be up for that, he played well for Hearts last season - he is a handful and would give us a good 2nd option if Stewart needed a rest
Broadhead is a quality player. But we've seen this many times before. Injury prone player's rarely work out.
Yep - arguably one of the most talented players of the last generation has just retired aged 30. Injuries stopped him being one of the greats. Unfortunately some players are just like that and as much as I like Broadhead he’s a player that you’ll be lucky to get 30 games a season out of.
Marwood is working on that 1 at City he might be the loan deal I mentioned. Don't quote me as a done deal, till he is either here or at Burnley
