Had the world at his feet at one stage. His breakthrough season he looked every but like he would make it. Then the injuries started and he seemed to get softer and worse. His first season he would get to a crossing position and look to find someone. By the mid point if the next season it was like someone had told him to forget that and just cross it, it’s someone else’s fault fir not getting on the end.

Good luck to the lad. But to say he’s not moved from a bigger club us laughable to the extreme

think he took so long over the contract as he had to make sure it was right for him, that said he just never really seemed to 'kick on' even before the long term injury as he almost hit a level where we all expected him to improve on his final ball/defensive work...think he needed the new challenge to try to push himself but not going too well for him at the minute.

hope he has a decent career and i would still like to see him improve but sadly, i cant see it happening now.

Its nice to hear Denver saying "he wanted to get out of his comfort zone". When you've spent al long time in there, those work benches in the Physio suite at the AoL are rather comfy.

The fact he played as many games for us as he did showed how far we’d fallen as a club.

****e unfortunately.

Irksome thread -- all this for a local lad and an academy product?
Granted, he's probably not a future Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, but there is nothing more engaging in football than an overlapping left-back.
