Paul’s info usually pretty reliable. Some ludicrous demands in there and would explain the protracted nature of the negotiations. Looks like Boro need the money and it’s all about the chairman trying to show how tough he is and bank maximum for the transfer kitty. Levy obviously also won’t back down and tie us into some silly financial obligations, which I think is fair enough for a player who has had one good season in the Championship, even if his potential is really high. I guess we’ll see who caves first. But the fact that no other competitors are reported to be in for anywhere near Boro’s asking price probably gives us some leverage to make them sweat a bit.

Totally agree with this. Even the 'flat' fee of £15m before bonuses is ludicrous for a Championship player and would bring him into the top 15 most expensive Championship players of all time iirc.

I hope we're working on other options as I have a slight feeling this could fall apart.

He’s Boro prized asset so I get they want top dollar and we’ve been on their side of things before but at some point Spurs need to move on to someone else.
 
Dan KP says Lenglet stayed at Hotspur Way last night.

Romano also saying medical and contracts to be completed soon.

I’d imagine that means he’s definitely gonna be on the plane to Korea - Nice!

Yeah he’s a good player that just couldn’t bring his quality regularly enough. Didn’t help that we have Son either. He’ll do well in his career.

Ajax have confirmed they’re paying us a fixed fee of €31.25m.

I honestly thought we’d take a small hit on him, nowhere near as bad the hit we’ll have to take on Ndombele and Lo Celso but I didn’t see us getting our money back. Kudos to the club on that one.

Was an hour and half out of Bissouma’s but about 6 hours out from Richarlison’s.

Yep, your predictions are a bit rubbish really. On the other hand I predict that the next comment I make on here will be completely wrong. And I'm likely to be right about that.

I’ve gotten the days right at least!

Just gotta nail down the timings. It’ll improve with time… hopefully.
