Still too early to really know, but with all the noises being that we want to sign lots of players this window, whatever budget we have needs to stretch to cover it all. Spending that sort of money on one player might not be on the radar this summer.
I saw him play a couple of times against Celtic and the Euro final and he looks pretty decent. I would expect him to play in the 10 position for us.
Saw him play a couple of times for Charlton where he stood out massively as too good for League 1. Saw him play a couple of times for rangers in their Europa league run and he looked very average. That was against Leipzig and Frankfurt though
Yeah, we've done pretty well out of our transfer raids north of the border on the whole. I'm talking about recent years and NOT Neil ****ing McCann!
I think you have a fair point but I think its going to be so tight again next season for all involved. Leeds have a list of pretty awful players IMO, Firpo tops the list, James close second, Strujk I dont rate, Koch and Klich round out the list for me. All of them could be easily replaced and the squad would be better for it. On the plus side, Harrison, Geldhart, Bamford, Messlier, Dallas, Cooper and Ayling provide a decent spine so if they recruit well and cautiously I think they are then they could have a middling and not awful season. The Redbull tactical approach can work very well in the EPL so, as you say, it comes down to Marsch and whether he can get the team playing well and build a strong relationship. Given our recruitment so far and our opening fixtures I am more concerned for Ralph than for Marsch at the moment.
