UK and New Zealand expand working holiday visas

The UK and New Zealand will allow more younger people to live and work in both countries for longer.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Kiwi counterpart Jacinda Ardern agreed to extend the Youth Mobility and Working Holiday schemes.

The age limit for applicants will go up from 30 to 35, and the maximum length of time people can stay in the host country will now be three years.

It follows similar deal to allow young people to work and travel in Australia.

The UK-New Zealand scheme was previously open to 18-30 year olds.

Just seen the latest quarterly energy price-cap forecasts:

Currently £1,954 up 54%

Oct-Dec £2,980 up 51%

Jan-Mar £3,000 up 0.7%

Apr-Jun £2,760 down 8%

Cheapest current 1 year fix: EON £2,800

These are current estimates based on advance wholesale prices which have spiked sharply.

Those struggling now face a seriously bleak winter...

Not quite the same question as 'do you think Brexit is going well?', is it. Even then, it's fairly damning.

It's a farce. The only country in the World to impose economic sanctions on itself.

No idea what you mean on the economic sanctions point. Maybe you'd prefer to be like France that has just elected 80 odd extreme right wingers into their parliament?

We just elect UKIP and call them Conservatives. Not sure what that has to do with the expensive disaster thus far which is Brexit.

If you think Boris Johnson is extreme right, you're living on another planet. He's liberal to his core. People criticise Brexit without recognising that other countries in the EU are basket cases. France is one of them. Look at all the gilet jaune violence. Have a look at the extremists in their parliament. As we've seen, their lax immigration and no border policy has led to terrible massacres by Islamic extremists. Diehard Remainers (well named, as they're a dying breed) simply refuse to address this.

Remainers no longer exist. You can't remain in something you've already left.
