Might not have been perfect, but Macca's set might be my fave headliner I've seen.

That last hour and a half was absolutely magnificent.

Thought all 3 headliners this year were poor, they often get over hyped, Glasto is far better away from the Pyramid stage. I'm not anti McCartney but his first hour was tedious, improved towards the end, Bowie, the Stones, the Who etc would all have played the hits.

I think when someone's voice is starting to wane with age, like McCartney's, then they're better off playing their hits and encouraging lots of crowd interaction, one massive singalong would have been perfect; I always loved Quo gigs for that, none of your ''this is from our new album'' bollocks - they just played all their hits, everyone sang their hearts out, had a great night and left the gig smiling.

Yes but Macca was a million times better than last years headliners. Plus with due respect Bowie, The Who and The Stones have not released anything near decent for decades, Macca has had some half decent stuff over recent years. I do agree his voice is no longer at its best but that crowd still loved it.

Rappers only get Glasto cos they sell it to the Yanks, everyone else switched off

Not all hip hop is as you describe, that’s all I said.
And music isn’t an objective science so it can’t be said that hip hop is objectively bad.
I like some of it, and prefer all of it to opera.

It’s art init…it’s subjective, of all people, those from our City should know that.

All in all I really enjoyed Glasto this year - good to be back although son has returned with Covid! Highlights for me were Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, the Undertones (superb), Pet Shop Boys and the crowd at Dianna Ross (largest I have seen sine the Stones.
