Nope. In 3 years time we will be commercially upwards of 100m a year better off. And our current deals are 15m.

How can you therefore explain the reason why PIF bought us and the matching of FFP.

The only way they can invest and grow the club is to multiply the revenue streams astronomically.

They (PIF) earn more money than we can possibly imagine. They are not wasting their time on us to grow revenue streams by 20m a year.

Sleeve sponsorship to main shirt sponsorship tends to be between 3 and 4 x the amount in normal circumstances. The thought process was to try and get sleeve deal at £7.5m which is comparable with a few other teams in top 6. Then get the main one at about £20-£25m (top end for now).

Nope. The new deals will be upwards and more. Trust me: the other premier league clubs need to generate money to just keep up.

Look at Chelsea’s Nike deal which was signed a while back. And they don’t have access to our funds.

We can manufacture deals of minimum 1-3m a pop just to sell ice creams.

Honestly, for us to compete even remotely in the next 5 years we have to at least double revenue streams. And the only way we can do that is commercial deals. No other way.

And the beauty of that is. That sets the precedent. And the PL cannot block that level of spend because of restrictions of trade.

Our new market is global. KSA is a massive market of absolutely wealth and every major business will want a part of this.

That can't possibly have a bearing on anything other than how attractive we may look to investors / sponsors though... and if we get our main sponsors through PIF partners...

Which was worth nothing. Because todays deal shows clearly that the PL cannot and will not block the deals.

If they are commercially viable then they cannot legally block them.

If manu have a 40m a year shirt deal we can. They cant stop it.

Everton received 40m just for the potential naming rights of their new stadium. I say potential. That 40m paid gave them 1st option. Nothing more or less.

The PL cannot block legally a commercial deal. If it is commercially driven.

If PIF bought our sponsorship deal for 800m a season, they could block it.

If Aramco bought our deal for 40m: the PL cannot block it.

Of course it does. They argue to PL that they play an additional 25% games a year in comparison to us.

Totally irrelevant in the commercial sense. We are a business on the same level with complete parity. Any legal blockage to us maintaining a similar level is quite simply illegal.

The additional games have seperate sponsorship deals. Why do you think the champions league attracts so much more money in terms of investors.

But when it comes to PL deals. They cannot block a thing. Our PL pull is on a par.

If anything ours is multiplied now.

Ok, so that works - if it's a consideration, which I'm far from certain that it will be - only until we get into Europe...

So, Scum's 171.5m, less 25% gives us £128.625m a season... roll it per year till we're playing the same amount of games... argument gone.

That's what I'm saying. It's not forever but we're playing catch up. These deals will all be for like 1 year 2 year max so they can continue to grow them.

They are also valued at 10x what we are in terms of value paid.

Again. Completely irrelevant. It’s all linked to comparable factors in the PL.

Any restrictions to a competing club being blocked to generate comparable revenue streams is illegal.

Providing the deal is commercially viable.

Even the one about an owners interested business not being allowed to invest. Total rubbish. We have just had our sleeve sponsor prove that.

They are co owned by PIF.
