You clearly have some doubts but trust me the commercial income over the next 3 seasons will go upwards of 150m. PIF bought us for a reason and it’s not to Lisa about in the jumble sales.
The Kayak deal was worth 1m. This new one is 7.5m and the PL have endorsed it. That’s a 7.5 fold multiple.
I know that. But not by flogging boards for £100m a season. It will be done through Corporate partnerships.
You don’t compare the clubs status when it comes to commercial deal. You look at the competitors. To stop the deals being anything less than well established current MV deals would be a restriction of trade. So look at the commercial deals of the big 6. The PL cannot and will not block deals on a similar level and past success is totally irrelevant.
I don’t just mean boards I mean the full lot. Player individual sponsors. Match day sponsors. Corporate sponsors. Screen sponsors in the stadium. Ad boards. Training kit sponsors. Each and everyone will be 3-5m each upwards.
Not only that @Thunder Twunt the clubs have to bounce back from covid lost revenues. What better way than to allow future commercial deals at whatever rates they want. Remember. The PL is a product and to have that they need the worlds best players. To maintain that the commercial deals have to come on board.
This is the thing thats going to increase the revenue stream - shirt sales. It's the one thing decent about Castore is the high % the club gets.
they can sponsor me if they want I've been going so long I'm part of fixtures and fittings plus image rights
The 6m is what Fun88 pay us currently. If the PL allow us a 7 fold increase in our sleeve sponsor they have to allow a similar ratio to our shirt sponsor.
Okay, now go do the maths to the difference between sleeve sponsorship and main sponsorship. They set a price at £7.5m which by all accounts they have had accepted so they can charge in the region of £20m for main sponsor. It''s like building up the squad, small but significant steps over a period of time.
It’s not an exact science but the majority of the premier clubs commercial revenue streams have multiplied by 4-6x plus in the last 10 years where ours has stagnated with no increase at all. The commercial increases we could command now especially with the potential KSA market is astronomical and the PL cannot block it. If they did it’s a restriction of trade. Why can the Pl top six clubs have 4x more commercial income than us. The beauty is they can’t. The only limitation is the access to the investment in the first place. We can’t go silly. Like billions. But we can compete. That’s the whole point. So if we sign commercial deals in a similar level to our competitors they cannot stop it. It is that simple.
