From what I can remember it was only about the money, he was demanding to be on the same earnings as the top paid player in the club so NC told him to do one!
And I fully support that stance - let him earn that privilage. Once he is a regular first choice and a top performer like Adam and Rickie then he could earn the same but until then he should be with the pack
 
Don't want anything to upset the team. Can you imagine how you'd feel if you grafted like our team and someone was brought in at a considerably higher wage that he hadn't earnt. He isn't a Lallana, Lambert or Fonte (presumably our 3 top earners).

agree Dark Lord, if he thinks he's going to walk into our starting line up I suggest he signs for someone else
 
99% of rumours I just ignore. Wait until anything materialises on the OS. However this falls into that other 1%, for the simple reason that I am a MASSVIE Billy Sharp fan. Absoloutely huge. So I'll indulge myself!

Since becoming a Saints fan, very few signings have ever made jump up with delight. The announcements of likes of Prutton, Rasiak, Puncheon and now Fox have made me very happy, but still not "yes, yes, yes, get in!" sort of happy (if you know what I mean). Probably only the announcements of Phillips and Lambert have ever made me feel like that. But without a doubt, Billy Sharp would join them up there.

We sign Sharp, and I'll start to believe that we can finish in the top 2.

Mainly me criticising how we were trying to build or the Prem and not another season in L1 <doh>
 
Billy Sharp is a proven goal scorer at this level and he'll be looking for career progression which unfortunately Doncaster can't give him. Add to the fact, he's worked with Adkins before - seems like an ideal signing if you ask me.
