The answer is simple but like I said yesterday, well I think it was yesterday to @Treble , if every person took their money out of the bank, he'd choose his words more carefully.

You keep your money in the bank, so do I and the future is cashless so we are all complicit in the behaviour.

Much like you spending £3k on a pushbike with shopping basket is totally mental, especially when rail workers are having to fight for more money, on their pittance of a wage.

I wonder what all the people at the food banks think of you spending 3k on a bike frame, well I know what they'd think, they would stick you on a BBQ, the same way that @luvgonzo does with hamsters.

Still I suppose all the hungry people should be happy you down graded from a guzzle drinking 4x4 to a plastic robin reliant or a van similar.
He would have to be dead-ish before I'd do that.

So what about banks then?

We all complain about corporate greed, you even gave the bank of england a meshy, yet we do nothing to change it. I refer back to the discussion me and Trebs were having, we could all do something about it, but we won't - either because we are lazy, we are selfish or is it just convenient for us to do things that way, and we allowing it to grow and get worse in a cashless society that we don't actually need, well not in the sense of the way it will evolve, when all the money is put in a bank to be 'safe' but the fat cats cream off it and give loans to the needy. Imagine everyone withdrew their money, the banking industry and probably the economy would collapse, it wouldn't be able to handle it, say like it would have done 40 years ago. It's much like the financial action against Putin to starve him of his revenue stream. I just think words are easy, saying we care - the only thing we care about is ourselves is how I see it. I see the economy has completely collapsed in Sri Lanka, I've not seen a single mention anywhere, only a population of 22 million people + but who cares?

What are you suggesting, that we all take our money out of the banks ? The actual cash doesn’t exist to that extent, banks operate on credit and debt. It’s figures on a screen.

Anyway, I’m not sure what your point is regarding the banks. Not trying to be funny about it, just not sure what you think withdrawing your money would achieve ?

The issue at hand with regard to the BOE though is that the Gov is totally out of touch with ordinary working people and the cost of living when he urges pay restraint, yet is on £600k per year.
