A question that is way above my pay grade as I like to say at work.

The only option is that the government need to stick a cap on essentials (fuel, energy and certain items of food) and then take the rough with the smooth.

They already do for residents. It's why if you are on a variable contract it's cheaper now than refixing. It's also why a bunch of energy suppliers have gone bust.

P.s. there is another energy price rise on the cap scheduled for this october which i believe will add like another 50% to your energy bills

I agree with this that the government need to get involved and apply a better capping system, one that can only be reviewed every 12 months, that way the consumer knows exactly how much they have to pay, based on their usage.

The price to be set fairly, if prices increase during the 12 month period, tough shhite on the energy companies, take it out your profits, if the price goes down over 12 months and as long has it is a fair price, the energy companies gain. As you say, taking the rough with the smooth. I know this will not help some of the worst off, but the government can financially support them via other means.

This is correct, leasing contracts (residents) and yes smaller energy companies can go under if they are not smart with the fixed pricing. Much as the same choices we make when buying a home, fixed or variable.

People care about their pay.

Most people will be, if they get that payrise, why can’t I kind of thing.

Sounds good to me.

Lets distribute the wealth more evenly

Reduce MPs wages to 30k and scrap the expenses thing completely.

Bang key workers on 50k a year minimum

Pay Dorris on checkout 3 a proper minimum living wage of say £15ph

That sounds like leveling up to me.

Not sure I want to bang key workers but I agree with the rest.

I’d go with that.
Prices don’t need to go up if wages go up. Just pay the ****s at the top a bit less.

I wouldn't want to do the job anyway, I certainly wouldn't want to do the job for £30k by any stretch of the imagination.
Good that's the point.

At the moment the job benefits of being a politician attract the absolute worst in our society, leeches, selfish, self serving, money grabbing/motivated people.

Take out all the expenses, 2nd jobs, doing mates favours with taxpayer money temptations that are currently offered by the role and the people who get into such jobs will have different motivations for doing so... Dunno maybe motivations like helping people and building communities that are better for all.

So what are you doing to help people mate, what's your motivations for getting up the morning, or are you selfish and sef serving too?

As for tax payers money, when did you last pay tax? :bandit:

I'm afraid as much as I may agree with your comments, it means we all have to look at ourselves as individuals, are we the law abiding, tax paying citizens that this plan of yours so desires, I'm not sure being off your tits has a job category. <laugh>

When did you last pay tax? I've paid 45 years of tax, which is probs 45 years more than you will ever achieve, if you worked for the rest of your life.

Something off ya tits. I don't do drugs

Its not on me bro, I'm the kinda person who'd make these lot look honest if I was in politics.

Also I'd not do a 30k a year job anyway cos it's not enough money for me to live the way I do.

That covers all your questions I believe.

So what about football players, football clubs in general, your own football club, I actually find the Premier League as disgusting if not more so than MP's. Yet you happily support them in the desire to be the best team in the world.

All those trophies you won, would have been won on the back of an obscene amount of money, that could have saved the lives of other people on other continents.

So you are wrong it is on you, it's on all of us but you, me, everyone readily accepts greed every single day of our lives from other quarters. Humans are selfish, you are trying to change the impossible, and even if it was possible, you don't have the desire to do it, otherwise you wouldn't be sat here chatting to me.
