Your actions over the last hour or so prove you to be nothing more than an out and out hypocrite. If my initial comment had upset you, why did you not drop me a PM and give me a chance to apologise. I don't run behind PM's if I have something to say, I say it on here publically, then I can't get accusations of saying stuff that I haven't. Example would be like you accusing me falsely of insulting a family member when I did no such thing, instead it was used as a deflection, because you weren't as calm and jokey as you were trying to allude to. I wasn't spoiling for any fight, I was keeping Sucky's thread active, I say alternative things that get a reaction, and you reacted, despite me not aiming anything at anyone specific. In wimborne there is an independent record store ( square records is the name ) and an independent book shop ( Gullivers ) . One family owns these and a Sister bookshop in Bournemouth . All are very well supported . Since lock down eased a while back their trade has gone mad because never mind Amazon , but people didn’t / still don’t want to travel miles to go to castle point , or west quay . As a result people started looking locally and the vast majority have stayed . Waterstones is good , but none really near here and the level of service is second to none .

You talk about deflection but in more than half of your responses to me in the last hour or so, you have continued to make a false claim that I’m somehow upset because my son works for Network Rail. Of course you will continue with that line of attack, because that’s all you’ve got. I’ve called you unhinged because your multiple rants this afternoon would suggest you have anger issues. My only mistake was to correct you on your repeated claim that the rail strike is over automation. That comes from personal knowledge and the unions reminding us that the modernisation was agreed with the unions previously. If you think that’s me having any kind of high opinion of myself, then you can chalk that up as another fail.
How I talk or feel about unions is me, why should I conform and clap like everyone else? In the main I've been the only alternative voice on here, just leave me be, why does it bother you so much, if I weren't here Sucky's thread would have died after the first half dozen pages. There's only so much echo before people get bored, instead he's got 21+ pages. You saw me as the fall guy and thought you could make comments and I'd let them ride, but I never. As regards Banks , what about the Elderly ? And those parking meters where you have to put in your number plate and pay by card ?
Most of the branches in local towns are gone so they have to go to larger town centres. This is partly what I meant about their importance for social interaction and sense of community. Those cashless parking meters will.be great for many but not for all. I think that's the thing here, sections of society are being marginalised. Conform if you can or tough ****.
You really do have a chip on your shoulder. You liked my earlier comments, which were tongue in cheek but at least truthful about your dislike of unions. It was nothing more than banter on what was, at the time, a lighthearted thread. I also made it clear that I don’t support industrial action, which is true and kind of negates some of your subsequent claims.I really couldn’t care less whether you like unions or not and I realised early on you were having some fun at posters, including me, expense. It was only after you went off on a tangent and started to repeat this automation story that you started to take umbrage. You’ve since tried to deflect this as me getting the hump because of my sons employment. For someone who claims that I belittle others and have a high opinion of myself, your doing a great job of making that claim look foolish. Not sure why your mentioning your tools, perhaps you’ve thought of it but realised it would make you look even more foolish than you have managed today I will say this one more time, I’m happy to keep responding to your posts, but believe me when I say I’m laughing at how you have gone off on one.
