I would question the quality of the starting 3 anyway. Henderson isn't the same player anymore and Thiago goes missing in some games. Even when on it, there is no one to take the game to the opposition
In contrast elliot has a year of experience behind him (but not much football) Jones too a but a bit more football and Carvalho who played all year with Fulham coming in and by all accounts will be part of the 1st team for pre season like Ramsey who again played all season in jock land. We need step up seasons from Jones and elliot. If that's what klopp decides we go with then who am I too argue. If one or both do indeed step up that's money saved on buying someone else and we've made another star.
Trouble with Elliott and Jones is neither naturally fit the system we play. Both clearly quality players but neither are high energy CMs that are very good offensively and defensively but nor are they quick enough to play the advanced wide positions either.
Elliott is far closer to high energy than Jones. It's more about understanding positionally and not allowing yourself be drawn than anything else. I'd contend keita is miles off the high energy midfielder model as well
I think Keita is better at it than the other two, he's not great when it comes to tackling but he's very aware of on field position. My biggest issue with Naby (other than his injury record) is how slow on the ball he is.
Yeah, he's very steady at this point. He understands the positioning but looks like he lacks any sort of sprint at this point. Dynamic he aint

Where an ex villa striker and prem flop spewed out another ****e article..... somewhere... or something.
Question. City strategy..... Haaland in Jesus and sterling out. Ake out no reserve cb in. Negotiating very hard for Brighton lb. Are they attempting to ffp wash thier mad spending for a little while? B.silva rumours ongoing as well Or Is the other shoe about to drop? City are basically left with foden haaland and mahrez up top with grealish as hapless back up. In midfield they are also light if they lose silva. Surely 2 or 3 more players minimum are coming in here. Honestly this world cup is going to make a mockery of the early season and october/November
they’ll spend big without question and then stick two fingers up at ffp. The second they are caught and properly punished, pep will leave, claiming ignorance…..but I’m not holding my breath….
Had a heated ‘debate’ with a Utd following mate, who suggested we’d struggle without Mane…. Although he accepted that Diaz was very good, he couldn’t quite get his head around the fact that he effectively replaced Mane last season…..and Nunez replaced him (and Bobby) in the 9 role… The thing about Mane that we may miss is that he was never injured, a bit of a machine….I’m not sure that Diaz has that in him yet but with Jota, we can rotate I guess. I did accept that losing Salah would be a blow to the team but that hasn’t happened……yet…..
you have to just accept your mate is desperate to drag us down to make himself feel better about his **** team. theres nothing in the world logic or otherwise that can convince a drowning man that the water is still rising. diaz can only improve from here. Work and skill. a ruthless combination. All you are doing when he brings salah up is throwing him a life bouy. its all about making him feel better about the total **** show at utd.
At this point when i looked Ederson Cancello Stones Dias cucurella KDB Rodri Gundogan Mahrez Haaland Foden It all looks very very good. unassailable But steffen walker Laporte..shag all. ..... HMMM...... Shag all......Grealish Zinchenko, Jesus, Sterling, ake all heavily linked to move. Ferandinho gone. Silva rumour mill to barca (can't see that mind) I am struggling to figure out exaclty what their plan is aside from phillips. there must be a massive wave of spending coming cos if haaland's injury record alone stays the same they are in trouble never mind a few knocks in midfield.
We’ll see who really leaves. Jesus, maybe but really, who knows…. why would Sterling move other than money and who’s going to pay him more than City? We are about to enter the sh*tiest economical downturn in a generation, probably our lives….if you’re not state owned by oil dopers, finances will be hit. It’s just a fact that cannot be argued.
sterling - Chelsea - crazy but he seems eager for money. Jesus - seems to have his pick but I think he is mad. its down hill totally and jsut to play a bit more which is in one way understandable. Zinchenko - arsenal over everotn - again exaclty the same. either a payday he's not getting as a pure squad player or to play. ake - chelsea again
A report from The Irish Daily Star over the weekend suggested Liverpool could turn to Georginio Wijnaldum as a short-term loan signing this summer.
