Anything to do with the away fans positioned directly above them? I'd certainly choose any other option than there
That's the only thing I can think of really and it's a shame. Yes there were some idiots (Coventry and Pompey I think) but the club should be acting accordingly if that's the case. More CCTV and searches of away fans. I thought they were putting the netting up as well.

There have been a good few arseholes sitting up there. My lads had tickets under there one year, never again they said.

For the offending clubs, I would make them watch through demountable perspex screens, the next time they came. Sounds awkward but probably possible.

Those who behave like animals should be treated like one.

Hopefully we have more stewards/cops up there now. I agree, those people need to be made an example of and future allocations reduced. I hope we don't forget the last time we played Coventry at home with the smoke bomb.

It wouldn't have been a problem if the ****ing idiot who decided to house them there wasn't so stupid <doh>

As I've said many times before, there should have been a straight swap from the Roker End to the SW corner, where it's already perfectly set up for 'away' fans outside and the Police department is. Instead the 'away' fans are where we can't see them to have a bit of banter with, and they are an obvious danger to us below :emoticon-0121-angry

There was simply no need for such idiocy :emoticon-0145-shake

Think the fans asked for the aways to be moved so we could have the full lower bowl didn't they? Would be a right chew on with pissed off SAFC fans if they moved them back downstairs somewhere now.

I used to love being in the SWC why put them there when most vocals come from there

As far as I am aware the only option apart from where the away fans are now is back to the south stand.

The south stand was built with a sliding wall to segregate fans on the concourse, the wall could be positioned for three allocations of away supporters (1,500, 2,500 & 3,000 I think) and provide them with bars, food and toilets wherever it was positioned. The reason they were moved is because the ground looked half full on camera when clubs didn’t fulfil their allocation.

also sure it was said they were located in a position they could affect game, close to pitch, encourage own players. idear was to disconnect them from this.

might have been Shorts idea after discussing with Quinn?

i sit/stand SWC, dont want them back...was moved from north stand due to them going there as result of black cat bar move

needs sorting out tho as someone will be seriously hurt by knobs hoying things
