No. He said £60m. He locked in and doubled down on £60m. Certain people lapped this story up and dug themselves into trenches over it. Now he's moving goalposts and so are certain other people. After all "£60m is a great amount to spend in a transfer window" in the year 2022.

Not really, when someone can smell bullshit, and they call bullshit, they aren't being played, they're simply calling out a repeated bullshitter. Nothing more and nothing less.

I think he should simply stick to reporting the news, matches, transfers, appointments once they've happened. He's better at that than he is at opinion pieces and speculation. Those things however do not work in today's world where click bait is what matters more to these people (journo's not Luke in particular)
Journalists hear bits and bobs and report it. They all get things right and wrong. I don't know why people get so angry it's just some guy telling them what he's hearing and thinks.
The fans go after them, he defends his position and it's a never ending cycle.

Everyone will have their own favourite journalists etc. Some people like Luke Edwards. I personally think he is a tosser. I think he lost his number 1 story source quite some time ago and I think the inner echelons of SJP have been locked tighter than a convents shower room.
Anyway I have all the screenshots from the summer spend vote, so we will soon see who knew best.

We might not spend another penny. I highly doubt it, but again they were all opinions. As factually correct with as much source as Luke Edwards used in his. Difference being - I have no evidence of any poster on here having done a YouTube show and admit they make up bollox to antagonise their customer base.
To be fair he's far more factually correct than Edwards - That, however is mainly due to the fact the players in question are preparing for their testimonial matches by the time he reports it

FWIW - I don't believe there is a transfer budget. Don't think there ever has been one. They've said they would be fluid all along whilst keeping FFP in mind.
