there appears to be an england odi team on tour in holland. they're playing a 50-overs game today. england haven't finished batting yet, but it's game over already. buttler has hit 13 sixes already. livingstone has just taken 32 off the 46th over.

the highest ever odi score is in danger...

livingstone reaches a 17-ball 50 with a six. 54 off 17, including five fours and five sixes.

buttler gets to 150 off 64, second fastest 150 in odis.

one over left and the scores is 477/4. the record is 481/6, england v australia.

the record is very likely to go, but is the 500 possible?

record equalled on 49.2 overs and then buttler gets another six.

only 21 off the last over makes the final total 498 for 4. a record winning margin may be on the cards...

buttler was in for 20.2 overs, in which time england scored 275 and he scored 162 off 70 deliveries.

biggest wnning margin in an odi is 290 (nz v ireland). england's biggest is 242 against australia when england got their 481/6 score. their next is 210 v new zealand.

netherlands going at 5 an over, but have only four wickets left. deficit currently 330 with 16 overs left.

Makes you wonder what’s the point of playing such inferior opposition. Not benefiting either side in my opinion.

the netherlands lost their final wicket with after 49.4overs and scored 266 to lose by 232 runs, so england's second biggest victory margin.

What a performance by Josh, he must be the best one-day batsman at present. To see a game with a good crowd there, it looked like a real carnival occasion, though a lot down to the Barmy Army.

I was there, found myself sitting with some lads from the Dutch development squad. They said they'd been bowling at Buttler and Malan in the nets last wednesday. Said they were both absulutely cack, couldn't hit a thing! However on the day they enjoyed the spectacle as much as anyone else.

i just looked him up to see what jos is short for. turns out his name is joseph, so how on earth it got shortened to jos i've no idea. i suppose losing the last three letters has something to do with it.

it seems a number of the better dutch players opted to play for their counties rather than the national team, leaving selection problems.

Perhaps it's a private school thing

FFS.......half an hour ago I was looking forward to seeing Root bat tomorrow - may still get the chance if we end up following on

Another nuts day of cricket.
Will stop short of calling it Test Cricket, as not sure what we play is really.
Bazball is fun to watch though.
