An Avro Lancaster is on my to do list....maybe the dambuster version. Done a 1/700 Bismarck last year....brilliant kit for £12. Might have a go at a 1/350 scale one of either the Bismarck or Tirpitz.
Nice models @Snaggey . My mrs said I need a hobby cos I'm a miserable old cùnt lol I've tried a lot over the years and my latest is buying a metal detector, and a sideband CB radio lol. The home brewing isn't a hobby, it's a chore that saves me a lot of money on booze Ok I do enjoy it at times. My classic scooters haven't seen the light of day for years and my "fun" car seems an extravagant luxury in todays expensive times I'd like to try and revisit a bit of model making spurred on by your great efforts. As long as you give me tips lol Great work though mate, enjoyed seeing them.
Ahh, you know what, youve just reminded me....when I bought the Bismarck, there was a kit that came with the Bismarck and the Hood. I nearly bought it, but when I looked again it was cheaper to buy both individually, and I never got round to getting the Hood.
Nice looking ship, shame about the story. Have you made any bi-planes ? I'd like to see pictures of all the tools etc you use if you ever get chance mate.
This was the next one I done, Honda CB1100 Super Blackbird. Don't have any in progress pics, just the finished bike. Done this one at the caravan...nice and easy one, but good detail, pleased with it.
I haven't done a bi-plane, I'm sure i will at some point though. Aye, I can hoy some pics of the stuff I use up. Most of it I've accumulated over the past couple of years...the first one I done, the Victory, I had a pair of pliers and a Stanley knife!!

Funny you say that, I see a few people with lego collections and spotted this thread and the first thing I always think is where does the wife let him keep them . My wife would 100% bun them after a week saying they too hard to dust

I keep them in a spare room, which the Mrs uses as a sewing room. Got a couple of shelves and a couple of displays. The rooms not used much so don't have much issue with dust.
you had radios afore or is it a first time for you? been loads of skip in the past week so a decent time to get into it.
I'm right into these mate, have been since i was around 4 years old when I was give a model of a Japanese submarine from one of the crew on board a ship my Dad was a chandler when ships came into the port of Sunderland.. My collection of built and still boxed models is huge , I'll never get around to building them all. I started with Airfix, so much so I got to know Don Maxwell very well as I spent most of my time in his shop in Vine place even working there for a few months. Ships, tanks ,aircraft to miniature figure to Star wars have guided my life... Modelling takes you away from the stress's and strains of life..If you need any advice, or just a chat, pm me.
