Yes, but it raises risk of injuries and having to play your top XI twice in a row. We have to do that four times in a half season. They will only have to do it against us once. Not the worst fixture list, but that part of it could be tricky and increase chance of injuries.
We've got Chelsea, United and Arsenal in our first 5 games, interspersed by some red and white striped cannon fodder
Fancy an avi bet on our game Flos ? usual stuff winner chooses the avi, draw null and void. Winner chooses the avi without consulting anybody else (even for wind ups) So no need for you to 'exit' the bet again You up for it ?
Tough start for us. Play Chelsea United and Spurs in our first 6 along with away trips to Wolves and Leicester. Home game v Leeds looking pretty important already.
No thanks Ponks ... I tend to operate a one strike and you're out philosophy ... or, as it says in the Bible, Isiah:56.2 "... he that besmirches the sanctity and principle of the wager must forever wander alone and lost ..." ...a valuable lesson for wager squirmers who attempt to alter the parameters of a wager from that which was entered into in good faith ...
That sounds the toughest start, risk of starting in the bottom three, but then just as people are taking the piss, you climb out the same as Arsenal did (was that last season?). Arsenal were then on for a top four place but bottled it, @Spurlock @remembercolinlee to confirm. I'm sure Leicester will not follow in Arsenal's footsteps.
In fairness, it's the sort of challenge we tend to respond to, especially if we have everyone fit and healthy ... only a dodgy VAR decision at Old Trafford last season stopped us getting a fourth win in a row against United in all competitions ... admittedly United ain't what they once were, ... but it is a fair barometer of where we have come as a club as I can only recall 3 previous victories against them in the first 30 years of watching my boys (and one of those was the League Cup when Fergie played a very weakened side)
I see Mr Pogba is in many tabloids this morning complaining the he wasn't 'loved enough' at United. I think it was the opposite ... he was loved too much, mainly by himself. He's a very good footballer, without question... but despite his ego perhaps convincing him otherwise ... he's not up there with the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Benzema, Salah or even Gareth Bale ... players that can almost carry a team at times and capable of real game changing moments on several occasions... Just my view, of course ...
Bottle job no2 then Our original bet was never gonna be anything other that we agreed anyway, you just sharted your pants and 'exited' it
If anybody manages to locate Flossy's little Cajones, please post them on, care of the Old folks home, Pensioners Lane, Leicester City.
Nope ... I've had an avi bet already for the coming season... with a fellow poster who I'm confident will maintain the spirit in which the bet is freely entered into rather than attempting to deflect or misdirect it ... I'm happy to entertain other wagers where I have similar confidence in the counter party
That one is for the end of the season though, my one is just for our game 2nd week of the season. 1 week avi change. You've bottled it because you don't have confidence in your team. And because you're a bit too easy to wind up
You had your opportunity ... you blew it ... you can carry on bleating and crying .. but it won't change owt
