The suggestion bit. Really can't fathom why that would be deemed necessary at this point (or any for that matter but especially now) and seems a huge waste of resources.

Mental.

It just makes no sense whatsoever.

If there is a surplus of jabs, just bin them. Don't pump kids with it, it is still very much an unknown.

My sixteen year old dodged one I reckon. He nearly went for a jab and didn't in the end. Has previously had Covid twice and it barely touched him, why have a jab ffs?

It's going around still, bloke in work just had it and felt like **** for a few day's. Triple jabbed. I doubt those jabs have had any positive effect on this bloke, it wouldn't have killed him if he was unjabbed.

Now, I assume that the jab has reduced the severity in a lot of people and has lessened the impact. I'm multi jabbed and that has seemingly not affected me but who knows long term?

I doubt it though, think I'll be fine. Although I'd have also been fine if I'd caught Covid unjabbed.

would think the three jabs will have given him some defence against it killing him looking at reports/studies and the death rate of the unvaccinated. My opinion only, same as being triple jabbed and given antivirals stopped someone immunosuppressed like me being hospitalised

I agree it will have worked with immunosuppressed people, and also elderly etc.

Negligable effect on those with no underlying conditions who are fit and healthy, in my opinion.

And definitley unneccessary in children, especially at this current point in things.

The above applies to lockdowns btw.

It should always have been the case that the vulnerable be locked down and protected, and that everyone else goes about their business.

This has cost an absolute fortune, and we're all now currently paying it back and crying about having to do it.

It’s going to take years for any of us to really know how effective any of these jabs are.
I’ve known people who have felt really crap with covid say ‘ooooh imagine how bad I’d have been if I wasn’t vaccinated’.
The truth is we’ll never know. They could well have been exactly the same!
To turn it around, people who died without taking the jab. Yes, the vaccine could have potentially saved them, but ALOT of double jabbed people died, so this whole 90% efficacy was clearly bollocks.
My daughter will not be getting vaccinated anytime soon. I’ve not seen any data to support vaccinating healthy kids.

The death rate is about 90% lower in vaccinated. Obviously people can take that reported data however they want

my daughter aged 7 asked for it, she wanted it. So had the Jab.

That's my point most didn't need it....it was a risk worth taking for people who didn't know how it could effect them but not for younger fitter generations who have immune systems against what was a 99 plus percent recovery rate virus

I’ve got doubts about the accuracy of the 90% claims to be honest.
Going back to the Omicron wave, we peaked around 300 deaths in mid January. This was despite the fact that a large percentage of people had been double/triple jabbed.
I can’t imagine that 2000+ would have died from a variant that was identified as a much milder strain than previous ones.
I don’t think many countries struggled with omicron tbh, even the ones with poor vaccine rollouts.

I did say that and got the mob chucking conspiracy **** at me for saying it......it made no odds 2 me because I was never gonna take the risk on any trial drugs once I knew the science which stated the recovery rate....all the other propaganda I didn't need to know because that was just big pharmaceutical and greedy crooks in business and politics looking to make big bucks from us and nothing more

Oh my god........u do realise your chances of being a grandad have been dramatically lowered yeah......what a fking idiot you are

Protection is almost negligible....probably got a 0.3 percent increase compared to the 99 percent recovery rate already happening around the world.

We got told by the country who had first mentioned a variation from delta to omicron that it was a mild version no more than cold symptoms...yet we pushed its gonna be rough so lock down and get the boosters in you.

Our rule makers who clearly didn't have the same fears they put across to us partied like it was 1999

We didn’t lock down for Omicron to be fair.
I don’t think the public would have bought into it anyway.

I work in a hospital back during the last big peak in late Feb where beds were filling up, there were plenty of people who had been vaccinated who got sick but almost none who were in intensive care who had received vaccination. We never had more than one person in intensive care who had been fully vaccinated at a time and every single one of those had other factors like diabetes or obesity.

There were a lot of people who hadn't been vaccinated in intensive care with covid. (Despite 70% of people being vaccinated in this area).

It doesn't look like the vaccine prevented many people getting the virus but it sure as hell stopped people getting it as severely.

We will just have to take your word on it hey......what hospital was you based at

Crazy init......he seems to suggest only people with covid were in intensive care unvaxxed or not....which is clearly a complete load of bollox

So yeah sounds very much like the crap the media put out at the same time

Accidents organ failures beatings of humans all stopped for covid I guess.......can I also ask how many intensive care beds you had in said hospital dude......reason I ask is when my dad was in intensive care for kidney failure there was 8 beds in intestine care unit in what is one of wales largest hospitals......each bed was always used giving it a 100 percent full house and yes everyone had a different reason for being there.......all pre covid that and all and does it ever change......probably not I say given the low number of beds with a very large number of people in the area it serves

Of course there were other people in intensive care who didn't have covid but that was irrelevant to the discussion.
