Firstly I'm talking to you and I've already explained everything.

Southgate won't go - a bunch of glorified friendlies won't mean much to the FA - combine that with the fact he had a very inexperienced squad - you take out Stones, Walker, Phillips and Kane the rest of the squad have an average of 8.5 caps between them with an average age of 21.7 years of age...
 
He wasn't even qualified for the job in the first place.

Won nothing and got Middlesbrough relegated.

He's crap the football is awful... He's boring and so are England. If they employed a good manager they might not have lost 3 games in the world cup and might have beaten italy on pens because they wouldn't have made the worst managerial decision since the trogen horse was accepted as a gift.

Not saying I disagree with your appraisal of Southgate but this is a results business and he has the best results of any manger over the last 50 years so he's bought himself time and at least this tournament. I'd also say you can only beat what is in front of you and that's the nuance of knockout football, we could have should have would have more difficult runs but facts are facts - a World Cup semi final and Euros final in the last 4 years is not bad going. He'll go if we don't make the latter stages this winter - QF would be the minimum expectation in my mind and he'll stay if he gets past there and he'll be hoisted on the shoulders of the nation if he wins it.
