Not sure why the pundits/commentators keep underestimating the Hungarians, they were more clinical than us with the chances simple. Hungary are i believe top of the group, above Italy and Germany to, why do we constantly think we are more worthy.

As for Molineux never liked that place or the people only second in inbreds to Port Vale.

Hungary are a decent side. They don't have the best players but they are organised and have a gameplan.

We are the opposite. We have good players but we look disorganised and don't seem to understand any system we try.

The fascination of playing right backs at centre half and left back just unbalances everything. I think his heads gone. Wouldn't surprise me if he walks before the World Cup.

Exactly, Hungary don't get enough credit, why do we always think we are better than them and other countries such as the Ukraine, we are not, they are always tough games these days. Just because Prem clubs pay millions for donkeys, dosen't rubber stamp anything that they are better players, it just means the clubs have got stupid owners.

Kind of wish i had watched the Wales game, Wales 2-1 down after 26 mins, pull it back to 2-2 on 92 mins and lose 3-2 on 93 mins.
Exciting.

Southgate is the new tinkerman but everytime he tinkers it just reinforces his view that we need to play 5 at the back + 2 holding midfielders. We'll either bore our way to the latter stages of the WC or bomb out early doors and part of me wishes for the latter.

Perhaps if Gareth was to announce he's leaving after the WC it would be best all round.

All Southgate has to do is play iran USA and Wales and all that will matter is the top line..

England gets into the ko rounds at least..

They keep banging on about the semi and the final, but if they employed a good manager they'd maybe have won something.

All I'm hearing is oh well don't forget we did quite well a few years ago...90 and 96 was at least exciting. Jesus at least sven lost to good sides.

We probably top that group.

I'm with you on this, fook Derby.

Teams like mine cannot compete on a level playing field, the Championship is now split in two, the haves and the have nots - which is fine if it is based on attendance revenue. Clubs like Sunderland who were in L1 with us. get gates of 30k+ , whereas we are lucky to get 5k, so there is no disputing, their fans ensure success is paid for by them turning up. Same as it was all those decades ago, when Man Utd and Liverpool were leagues ahead of many others and achieving gates of 60,000+

Where I get pissed off, is when a club like Derby, who are in financial trouble for whatever reason, are bringing in a manager wage bill for the likes of Wayne Rooney. Don't get me wrong, he earned his crust and deserved his slice, but the reality was Derby couldn't afford him. It's a bit like how we have to look around the lower leagues and loans for players to make up our team, because we cannot afford the asking prices - so acting responsibly does not bode that level playing field.

Side tracking...as for being able to name 7 subs on a bench <laugh>

Most clubs are bigger than my club, I have no issues with that, it's the constant financial mis-management that grates and fans lapping up or searching for the glory days again from it. You are bust for a reason, on reflection I hope it was worth it?

"Most clubs... " :emoticon-0136-giggl

I think the only England midfielder to cone out of these Nations League games with any credit ... is James Maddison ...

He must be pissing himself now at Southgates comments about him being left out because those included have "served us well" ... not one goal from open play, no guile, no invention, no idea .... and now dry humped at home by Hungary <laugh>

When do you expect to win either of them next?

Nice that you joined Blackburn with the PL though <ok>

The League? ... think our outlook is as bleak as your's tbph...

The Cup? ... you never know ...

When do you think you might beat us next?

I'm still a bit pissed off at VAR ruling out our second goal at OT in the league which robbed us of a fourth consecutive win against your lot in all competitions ... <grr>

Where are we going to find players between now and then?

We need a real striker who is mobile and doesn't jog in circles next to a CB, we need some sort of competition for Pickford, I don't even want to think about midfield.
We have A decent team when all fit and picked, the new players tried in this comp show just how short we are in actual quality back up.

Ramsdale isn’t the answer for backup GK. we need better FWD options and a CB partnership that looks stable. Loads of MF options.
