The longer this game goes on the more clueless England look. We have talent on the field but you wouldn't know it.

We do have talented players, but I’ve always held the view that the players who create and provide for them at club level are invariably from abroad. The England team are always lacking those midfield playmakers and ball retainers, which trophy winning international teams need. Put a peak Pirlo or Modric or Iniesta etc in this England team - or preferably a couple of them - and the improvement would be huge. We have all other bases covered - except perhaps at centre back.

We have Rice but losing Phillips didn't help. I think it's the negative mindset that probably comes from the manager that does not use our assets to the best of their ability.
