I don't think we needed this PP to know that 142 at Radlett is horrific. Like I say, all about our NRR now. Almost treat this like Glamorgan last season.
I'm sure Glamorgan will have been in Vince's mind. We don't really want to risk leaving ourselves needing to repeat that this season. He may well have asked McDermott to carry on hitting everything.
There's also the added benefit of hurting Middlesex's NRR. Glamorgan weren't a top four rival last season, but Middlesex are.
Kudos to the bowlers, particularly Daws and Fuller they put the pressure on their batters although Middlesex played very much like the first 4 game Hants at times.
Maybe like 3-2 away to Spuds!? Ps. Only kidding; I don’t need someone pulling me up on that example! Big game for us Thursday now. Hope the weather holds & so do our openers.
I do not have Sky to be able to confirm this but I was talking to a colleague about T20 attendences and he commented that the attendences had been down quite substantially in this competition so far. The crowds at the Ageas have been low albeit someone suggested that the Jubilee celebrations contributed to the vast number of empty seats on Saturday. It will be interesting to see whether these improve tomorrow. I wonder whether the damage has been done by The Hundred - a competition I have little interest in as I have no affinity for any of the new teams. Who are they supposed to represent ?
