Just for the purpose of adding balance here, I would like to point out that tossers in politics are by no means confined to one party.

For example Boris, and his party walked the last Election, in part at least, because Labour had saddled themselves with another tosser, Mr Corbyn, who proved to be un-electable.

Labour suporters should be encouraging the Tory Party to stand firmly behind Boris:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I agree, and I am , This challenge to-day has come far too early. I want to give him a bit more rope, and a higher branch. And the Labour party to change leader first would be a huge bonus imo, as Stammer is totally useless, an obvious plant .

That’s the thing that beats me about Labour supporters on here, they are virtually being given the next election on a plate and yet want rid of Boris to elect someone else who will take them on to win the next election. Are you secret conservatives by any chance <laugh>?
Says the man who said labour should have stuck with Corbyn and abbot... give it a rest with your whataboutary

We can't wait until 2024 though. Something needs to happen before then

This. I'd rather Johnson goes now even if that means we're more likely to have a Conservative government again in 2 years. We have huge cost of living crisis right now and we need someone competent to help lift this country out of the ****. In 2 years time, the next government may have to lift millions of people out of relative poverty.

The consequences of Johnson being kicked out aren't of any concern.

He's a liar, a hypocrite and a very poor PM.

You wouldn't keep Gary Glitter at the nursery because the next caretaker might not be great at cleaning up pools of sick.

The bloke can't even admit to how many children he has, why on earth people trusted him to tell the truth about anything else is beyond me.

Didn't expect 148 of Tories to turn against Johnson, at least there's still some decency in the Party. He will just try to deflect it at the next PM's question time cos he has no no sense of right or wrong. His own party is turning against him because of his behaviour but he will just dismiss it and waffle on about his achievements, which are mainly fabrications of the actual facts. He needs to be gone, he's as destructive to British politics as Trump was to the US.

If they were decent they'd declare their lack of confidence openly, not anonymously.

Yes the 148 is a lot bigger than was expected.

There may be more decent tories than I thought!

I would agree but the party whip system doesn't allow open revolt, there will be some Tory MP's who do good work for their constituents and want to continue but if the whip is withdrawn they are basically finished. Sometimes you have to compromise to achieve the best result.
