Who in their right mind would consider signing a 4 or 5 year contract on the basis of being in the CL for maybe just 1 year ?
I don't take much notice of it tbh ... he may indeed want CL ... but I suspect whoever offers the most lucrative contract will get him, irrespective ... Juve were apparently interested but baulked at our asking price ... anything is possible, including keeping him until January if we don't get an offer that meets our expectations ...
That would be someone who knows a CL club is in a position to pay higher wages than a non CL club.

Why would I be nervous Ponks? ... lad wants to move on... if your lot want to make the highest bid and he's happy with that so am I ... bit of a sideways move going to a club that will challenge for top 6, but less likely for top 4 (as proven
