One of those that has just passed me by over the years. Never seen Seinfeld either.
My all time favourite american comedy. I've watched and rewatched it and still find it hilarious.
It took a series to get going though imo.
I watched the Mark Kermode review. He never rated the first, but says this one is excellent.
Btw I never knew that Cruise can actually pilot fighter jets.

That's easy it's just the taking off and landing that's the hard part........lol
I think the action scenes need that big screen. It starts off heavy on the nostalgia and cheese but then build into its own film and it's superb. Great action scenes.
I thought it'd be average at best but all the reviews are great so I'm going to book tickets for Friday as part of my Jubilee celebrations.
