Ginge-- We have to live with what we've got for the rest of this season, but we all now know whats needed for the future! I wont mention names but if we are going forward we mustn't be frightened to say to certain players " Thank you for all you have done, but....." In the meantime, AVB must make sure he uses whats available in the right way ie dont be frightened to field ambitious talent, that is currently being parked on the bench, or worse, in the reserves.

As I've said. Next season will be the year for us to really push City, this has come too soon. Hopefully we sell Bosingwa in the Summer and then some of the deadwood will follow and we can make way for some proper defenders.

I believe Luiz and Alex are our best CB pairing and I stand by that.

Nah, for me it was when Eboue crippled him in 07/08. Since then he lost a yard of pace/sharpness and hasn't been the same player.

What's all this about Cahill? Get Godin, cheaper and in my opinion better value for money. Subotic is another good option. I think Cahill's over rated and Bolton would probably rip us off. Modric saga all over again.

    Maybe not that bad. <laugh>

Listen you have had a good run but you are dangerously in hot water over wumming. Remember there is a big difference between banter and wumming. Don't gild the lily.<ok>

I still stand by Cahill, think he's magnificent and he's only 24(?) I believe. I say give Oriol more game time, he looks like he's picking it up quite quickly here in England.

    Great game of football.

Attacking from both teams was a joy to watch.

    Defending <yikes>
Absolutely shocking from both teams. God knows why Bosingwa plays, he doesn't seem to even get the basics right everytime I watch him.

You'll bounce back, AVB just needs to tighten your defense up quickly.

Yeah was a good game of attacking football. Bosingwa was brilliant in the first couple of games but is slowly showing us why Ivan was first choice for a long time.

Hopefully we can bounce back in time for your visit to the Bridge <ok>

    Morning Drogs <ok>

Yeah when Bosingwa first joined I thought you were onto a winner - seems I might of been wrong. He occasionally does a good job offensively, but defensively he can be shocking. Also Terry seems to be dropping off the pace, similar to our situation with Carragher, the trouble is players like that aren't easy to replace.

I hope you sort your defensive issues out (after our meeting), and I also hope Terry and Boswinga play that day <laugh>

I think one of the only CB's we can get to replace Terry is Cahill. Cahill is a great defender and a great leader plus his english, his the perfect defender for us, we can't have a all-foreign defence it just won't work because we need a leader in defence. Ivanovic-Cahill-Alex-Ash is what i'd go for when terry comes to the end but i'm sure it will be Luiz instead of Alex, i still don't see what AVBs problem with Alex is, he really is a great defender, a powerful defender we need in the box and has got a screamer of a free-kick, the only problem is he isn't as fast but he makes it up in power, and i'd rather the Centre-Backs be strong than fast, I love Luiz, his a great player but i'd play him in a midfield position because his main attributes are speed and a great strike of a ball, his not strong enough to be a CB in my opinion.

As did I mate! From what I'd seen of him at Porto he was a star. I feel he'd be brilliant in La Liga, you can get away with staying forward and wandering out of position there.
Yep Terry is declining I'm gutted to admit, has been for the past 2 years. It's age though I suppose and with him not being the quickest of defenders anyway it's only going to get harder. Alan Hansen made a good point that a few years ago Terry could play with anybody you put with him, now you need someone who's going to compliment the things he can't do so well anymore.

<laugh> Terry will definitely play, if we play Ivan on the right we should be alright. I have a feeling Suarez could cause some havoc and if Luiz plays, my heart will be in my mouth!

I have a feeling Cahill will be hot property come the summer (or Jan). Especially as the likes of Terry, Carra, Ferdinand etc etc are all evidently starting their declines. Also I see City showing interest for a possible partner for Kompany.

Could become a huge bidding war...

City have already confirmed their interest in Cahill, we missed our chance. We could have got him for £17 mil <wah>

To me Ivan should be starting every game. He seems solid and pops up with the odd goal <grr>

Don't worry everytime Skrtyl plays my hearts in my mouth - although he did play a blinder yesterday.

You're right about Suarez, he'll cause problems. He always does no matter who the opposition are.

Yep, I think so too. Bosingwa is just a player suited to the style AVB plays.

I thought that NEVER in my lifetime we'd let in 5 at the Bridge! Especially not with Roman at the reins.

Sorry I saw that game and yes the defending was shocking , and I b;ame that on AVB, this is a chelsea teeam that 2 years ago would not have let that happen, and its with mostly the same players in defence. Seriously they just need to be told to keep a nice straight back 4 when defending, don't get drawn into the middle and at least two of those arsenal goals would not have happened. No way would paulo have been drawn into the middle for the santos goal. Not keeping the line and not marking up at set pieces are fundamental, but put it thei way how many times have we started out with the same back 4?? you cant keep chopping and changing and this is something we used to know. But its only 10 games in so no need to panic

As for JT sorry, but having some numb nuts blasting the ball behind you , with ****ing van persie alreay on the move , is not his faullt in any way shape or form, there was no need to ****ing kick it back in the first place!
