Aside from the obvious expectation of there being goals because it's Peterborough, it's worth adding that we've scored at least one goal in 17/18 games in all comps this season (Palace in the League Cup the only exception), and Peterborough have conceded at least one goal in all 16/16 games they've played in all competitions this season. Lee Tomlin out for them too because of Red Card vs Leeds. Lat
I have to say I was wrong about Peterborough. I thought Huddersfield should have come up and rather assumed Boro would struggle, but they have done well. This mustn't be a case of 'after the Lord Mayor's Show'. We must go all out and consolidate on the October results. Another 3 nil will do nicely.
I agree,i fear this game for all the wrong reasons, don't want us just to presume we're gonna take 3 points because that's when things tend to go wrong.I'm sure Nigel won't let it happen but i've just got that nagging thought in the back of my mind that we'll take them lightly. If we are on the ball like we were againts Boro then surely there will only be one result?
Apparently in the last 20 games (according to mail on line), if we lead at half time we've won 10/10 games and if we're drawing at half-time we've lost only 1/6 games. So make sure we lead at half-time and easy-peasy!
Agree with all of this, 3 pts is the main thing whether it's 1-0 or 7-6. Got a feeling I'll be backing Saints 3-0, 3-1, 4-0, 4-1 though at 14s/11s/25s/22s respectively. 0-0 is available at 20/1, but I wouldn't back that unless I saw 100s! Lat
Here we [nearly] go again..! I've got this nagging feeling. Can we just stop being Saints fans, please..? Just for once..? To paraphrase the Righteous Brothers song, it's about time we lost that nagging feeling..! If Saints score early, Kelvin can erect a hammock between the posts. I'm slightly confident.
I've put £2 on an ambitious, but not hugely unrealistic, 5-2 win (66/1). If the real Saints and the real Posh both turn up, I think I've got half a chance.
If we play on Tuesday like we did yesterday then we will have a strong possibility of hammering them! We played incredibly well yesterday. A BBC reporter who was there Ben tweeted how well we did! I try and find it now!
