Went out on MTB for first time in 5 1/2 weeks due to mishap with bike in which I gave myself a 6 inch hematoma in calf muscle.Managed 12 miles with only one very brief twinge in muscle..... I'm back biking... woohoo.
Fit in biking before missus is awake in the morning normally about 8am.

You really don't have much luck on a bike <laugh>

I get up at 6am each morning because of work, so I'm up by habit that time on the weekend.

Wife and kids? Nah. Often go to noon without seeing another member of the family. It's both nice having the place to myself and irritating.

Same but not that early. I get up around 7.30am usually. Like you, I don't see most of the family until nearer lunch. Youngest gets up early too but keep's himself to himself usually.

I could ride around on aflat bit of road and not come to harm but that's not my style.I actually don't do true MTB these days it's more a case of trail riding but still take on jumping over fallen trees etc.
Absolutely love it ,and whilst I can still pedal my xc bike I won't be getting an ebike anytime soon.<ok>
PS
Did I mention my slight straightening of my spine after last fall?:emoticon-0105-wink:

I get up at 6 am (or slightly after) every morning to get the kids ready for school, then get myself ready, then walk the dog, then I can start work.

I sleep in at the weekend though. I'm not a morning person.

I could have the wrong poster, wasn't it you that had incidents with cars?

Im definitely not a morning person and if I have a length of time off, I slowly get later (going to bed and getting up). I'm convinced my body works on a 25hr basis <laugh>

I have a nice XC mtb, had it quite a few years, but it's never really had much of a run out off road! It's now used to pull a trailer carrying my two sprogs.

I'm more of a road cyclist and managed to smash out all 4 top, front teeth in an accident a few years back. Road the rest if the way home (about 8 miles) with blood pouring out and didn't go to hospital until the next morning.

Yeah had cars pull out on me and also passing too close.I always ride with the expectation that all other road users are knobs.Motorcyclists tend to understand the problems we face and give us a wide berth.
PS
I ride a motorcycle as well.

If you see 8am.on the clock then it's time for a feed before bed cos you've been out all night <ok>

Seriously though morning is the best time of day for getting going and all that

We do know klopp is not a morning person
