I'll give you a quick rundown. Guendouzi and Mavrapanos are already gone. Saliba is expected to be reintegrated into the first team, Ornstein has reported Nketiah is now expected to pen a new deal (this was like 30 mins ago), Torreira is also expected to leave, Lacazette is going, Pepe is going, Nelson has 1 year left on his contract, as does Maitland-Niles (also expected to leave), Bellerin has made public his desire to stay at Betis permanently so let's see, Runarsson and Mari don't have futures at the club either. We've (unofficially, but pretty much done) signed Marquinhos from Sao Paulo who is a 19-year old winger, but I don't expect him to be with the first team. Based on this, I expect us to sign 5-6 first-team players. Baring in mind a lot of those players I've mentioned weren't getting minutes/weren't that valuable to us, anyway.
Bastoni Watch Cue numerous interpretations on what this post really means please log in to view this image
He will cost us but he is young and full of experience, back 3 Romero, Dier and Bastoni , what's not to like
Imagine Hugo behind that back 3, with 2 new wing backs (Kostic and Spence?) and then we're really cooking at the back... It's all very exciting.
And it feels very achievable. Conte knows Bastoni and Inter need cash. Kostic has a year left on his deal. Spence is a proper bread and butter Tottenham signing, said last night I can really see that one happening. With Ben Davies breathing down the three CBs backs too for good depth, had a great season since Conte came in and in the last month or so especially pulled off some unbelievable blocks. Very reliable defender.
Ben Davies has started to look like the player he was at the start of the 2018/19 season. He's up the pitch, contributing to attacks...and also defending to a really high standard. I'm far from chasing him out of the club. He's a really important part of the next few years, but we need competition for places and rotation of high quality options. Bastoni and Davies @ LCB....? .....Yes please.
I'm not a student of other leagues and when I hear about a player it's mostly because we will attempt and fail to sign them so after hearing Ali Gold praising him yesterday I had a look , jeez this boy looks so exciting, hope we get him
Bracing myself for none of this to happen, followed by a deadline day deal to bring Troy Deeney out of retirement on a rolling contract.
I know....it's a bit like 1980...after Chris Jones, Ian Moores, Colin Lee and Gerry Armstrong....we signed Archibald and Crooks. It can happen.....
Julien Maynard: Ndombele won’t stay in Lyon despite their option to buy… Every Spurs fan: *pretends to be shocked*
Utd apparently enquired about Scarlett a few weeks back. Unluckyyyy. Not sure he’d wanna downgrade anyway.
To the surprise of nobody, Lyon won't be taking up the option to make Nom Belly's loan a permanent deal
