Anyways, personally I think Santos will turn out to be an excellent signing. yes he's off the pace right now but he is aggressive & has bags off skill. Mark my words one to watch
I agree i think Santos is going to turn out to be a great signing. Good going forward, great Brazilian style and has a solid tackle. If he can maybe get into slightly better shape he will be quality. He got beat a couple of times against Chelsea but other than that he got better and better throughout the game and overall did really well.
I have no doubt he'll be a good player, I just don't think he was yesterday. I saw him at the Emirates when Scotland played Brazil and he was class then, if you're in Brazil's squad you can't be too bad.
The guy put in some quality tackles. People's beef with him seems to mainly revolve around the fact that he was consistently beaten for pace, sometimes quite humiliatingly. To which I say ... the guy's just come from Fenerbache. The Turkish league and the Premier League are gulfs apart; our league is generally faster and everyone's a bit fitter. Give him a chance to adapt and the pace will get to an acceptable level, and then he'll be better than Gibbs is at present.
