I think sometimes the media gets itself a little over excited, the way it goes on most the time you'd think Liverpool were the greatest team in the world - anyway with memory failing over the years, I decided to look up the history of Premier League winners, Manchester United 13 times, so what about this greatest team in the world...once! You fooking wot, how many times, ONCE. You got to be kidding me, even with the help of VAR and Salah's penalties, ONCE...jeez, come back Matth all is forgiven, compared to Liverpool fans you are fooking GOD mate.

Even that tinpot team Arsenal have won it three times. <laugh>

and....and...Leicester, who the fook are they, have won it the same number of times as Liverpool, the greatest team in the world. Oh my oh my, there shouldn't be a fuel crisis in Liverpool, plenty of fooking hot air up there.

Easy to win, much harder to defend. Winning back to back league titles is really the test of a great side.

Tbf this really is a great Liverpool side. Relentless and like a machine. And Klopp is a top manager. I'm not really a fan of the style of play of either Livpl or City but it's effective and they're way ahead of everyone else.

Such a great side that they've only won it once in 20 years. Even Blackburn have won it once, Arsenal 3 times, little ole Leicester once, yet Liverpool are some how a great team, nah. In the first 11 years of the Prem, Man Utd were only outside the top two ONCE, it was 10 years before Liverpool even got a second place finish. <laugh>

I actually far prefer watching City play out of those two, City are controlled and calm, Liverpool play a high energy kick and rush sort of game where they end up piling players into the box in the hope the ball falls to one of them.
Yes i know Liverpool can score a great goal with a fast attack but that depends on the oppo committing men forward so they can get in behind with a hoof from VvD

It'll be interesting to see how they respond next season. They had the ready made excuses last year about injuries which everyone endures but somehow meant something different at LFC. Something the manager could sell to the players and the masses.

But no such excuses this season and now two years without a league title having won it after 30, it must have an impact on their self-belief. I remember a quote from their owner saying something about their aim not just winning the league, but once they win it they carry on winning it. Not quite going to script <whistle>

Sometimes you get what are called great "cup" managers as in knock out competitions.
Klopp seems to be one of these (he usually kicks domestics into touch but tried a bit this season and won them both), he doesn't seem to be great at the big one though, the long 38 game slog. Can't fault his efforts because he is the only one who can give Pep a run but ultimately not quite there.

I just prefer more expansive, quick, passing football played out from the back rather than trying to nick the ball in the final third and most of the game being played there. Or slow endless passing coupled with quick cut backs in the final third. I've enjoyed watching Italian football this season for that reason. Which reminds me, AC Milan win Serie A after 12 years.

He is twice the scouser you are

Size wise anyway
