The mighty ME didn't have that much of a international career, 3 minor appearances for the mighty Jamaica...That is so funny.
As funny as Junior turning down the chance to play for the mighty Gibraltar.

I know many on here don't agree, but I thought LJ was a decent player for us, wasn't the best in a tackle but knew how to thread a ball through an eye of a needle with intelligent passes. we sure missed him when he didn't play......some looking through the red mist couldn't bring themselves to see it though!!![]()

Certainly stitched us up and left his footprint.

Last weekend Junior played in a testimonial for Yeovil Legends.
Quite rightly, he was a non league legend.
He belongs in the YTFC Hall Of Fame.
Ps
Bristol City players asked to play in the testimonial for the opposition played AGAINST Junior.
This is a BCFC Hall of Fame thread.
Beyond belief but some silly sausage suggested Junior.
Just pointing out that he's a fully paid up non league legend for Yeovil Town.
Surely a hall of fame is about players/managers or even staff, physios etc that have been exceptional or changed our fortunes for the good, not just did a good job, as many individuals have done a good job over the years .He did a good job as player and manager in the Championship, so deserves a nomination far more than some who had good seasons from our time in the lower divisions.

Wilbraham was an integral part of a team that took us from a lower league 1 side, to a championship side, a side that won the league for the first time in my memory, won us the most points in a season in living memory, and won the LDV trophy, cup thingy, or whatever it’s called, in the same season. if that’s not exceptional & changing our fortunes I don’t know what is.I actually agree with that, but what did the following do that meet hat criteria yet got votes?
Wilbraham
Scott
Elliott
Basso
I'd put Johnson's efforts (not his popularity - the haters will never acknowledge anything good he did) above any of those, he did change our fortunes, he kept us in the 2nd division for longer than any other manager in my living memory (and I turn 50 tomorrow). Not a title I know, but you have to contextualise achievements at a club like our's, and for me being competitive in the Championship is as good as it's been for a long long time.

I didn’t expect a rationale response from you. Scott was not better than Bell, Barnard or Bryan for my money. Elliott and Basso did very well, but we’re one season wonders, so no more worthy of a hall of fame nomination. If you can’t see that keeping BCFC in the Championship for 4 consecutive seasons is a good , if not great achievement in the context of our clubs history, then there is no hope for you…Supcon
What planet are you on ?
Martin Scott was as good as any left back, or better, that we've had in the last 50years.
Marvin Elliott's been the best in that position since Gowie.
Basso's as good or better than any keeper since Gibbo.
As for Junior, player or otherwise, keep it serious !

possibly, but they only each had one stand out season, getting to the PO final, and neither did anything after. I think all the squad that got us to the PO final did well, only one of them is not allowed to be recognised as having any contribution whatsoever.Adriano Basso - 2005 - 2010.....165 apps
Marvin Elliott. - 2007 - 2014.....242 apps.....25goals
I think it's a bit unkind to identify these 2 players as one season wonders, they were both great team players and at times lifted the morale of the team and fans they were a credit to our club.

It was just my opinion that I thought Scott was a great player for us....sometimes we see things different....Me and Jiffie regularly do!!Ffs 1For have a word, he's losing it.
The poor devil doesn't have a clue.
Really?, I wouldn’t have guessed. It was just my opinion that I thought Scott was a great player for us....sometimes we see things different....Me and Jiffie regularly do!!![]()
