Our target next season is top 10 realistically and improve. Bruno was on your radar yes. No idea why you didn’t go all out for the kid but we have loved having him. He really is world class.
Newcastle will get more WC players, for sure. It took Manchester City a while to start winning, though, so you guys will have to be patient. Not sure about Arsenal's own place in the top 6 or 7 clubs anymore. That is still in question as long as we continue to have evenings like tonight.
A United nufc is what the greedy six cartel were terrified of Only the start , winter is coming greedy six onwards nufc
One of the best first half’s I’ve seen from us in a long time. Carried over into the second which was very refreshing to see! Nice to see some attacking subs at 1-0 up with Murphy and Fraser coming on rather than just shutting up shop. Bruno’s finish just showed exactly why we need to be shipping out the likes of Fraser and Murphy in the summer, both of whom had clear cut chances to put the game to bed but quality of the finish let them down as it has done on numerous occasions. How ****ing good is Wilson, just wish he could stay fit…nearly goal of the season, done more in 1 game than Wood has since he signed in January. Can’t wait for next season now….after a summer of shopping of course!
From the get go I didn’t feel like you had the strength. It was almost like the young ones fluffed their lines and the older more experienced ones didn’t know how to cope. We pressed from the first minute and worked hard. Bad news for you guys but that was probably our best performance of the season.
I think you'd have beaten better sides (including, if I may say, our nearest and dearest rivals). We usually have a strong record against Newcastle, but tonight they seemed to have the belief that they could win that we didn't seem to have. And that lies squarely on the manager. Arsenal aren't a terrible side, but as someone else said, they seem to lack leadership.
Only at executive level - fans don't think like greedy executives do - all fanbases of those clubs vehemently opposed the ESL and United went as far as to get their biggest game of the season called off and Chelsea had to get an ex-player to beg fans to let the club bus through. Any Chelsea, Tottenham or Arsenal fan would far rather NUFC win major prizes than each other. Same undoubtedly would apply to City, Liverpool and Man Utd.
Fair point , not the fans fault . Take along time to forgive , would of been interesting to see the anti comp court case go all the way
Proud of our side tonight. Showed tremendous grit and determination all game and with an ounce of luck could easily have been 4 or 5. Wilson's 30 yarder skimming the post would have won goal of the season.. Our blonde bombshells, JoeL and Bruno were superb and I find it hard to think I thought Joel was rubbish last season and Howe has changed to him to the clubs player of the season. A great well done to Wor Flags tonight, they were brilliant and the ground buzzing from top to bottom. Can't wait for next season.
