Superb performance, really superb (especially Chaplow, who was easily my MOTM). However, I wouldn't read to much into the opposition - for me, just because Boro were in 3rd does not make it any better. I was always confident of winning, and anyone who knows me well knows that that is a fairly rare thing.

Indeed, that's only the fourth league game this season that I predicted a Saints win (the others being Barnsley, Millwall, and Watford - so invariably, when I do actually predict a Saints win, we get one). A massive ten games therefore I haven't been overly confident about us winning, so honestly for me to expect us to win today really is something!

Boro's sucess this season has been based on a solid defence, and I'm sorry but our attacking play and our attacking players were always going to have the quality to break that defence down. Solely in terms of the opposition, I think the wins over Leeds, Birmingham and West Ham were more impressive

Surely Connolly's goal was one of the best of the season Brendy?

I thought Lambert's work for it in particular was superb. But I don't see what this has to do with my point. If anything it backs it up - our attack is class.

No, I wasn't arguing with you, I just thought the build up to the goal showed what a fantastic team Saints have become this season. I was watching a live stream, and it really was magical stuff. Wish I'd been there!

A couple of small-ish things also to mention. Firstly, great for Connolly to finally score again. I mentioned on a Connolly thread last week that whilst his performances were still of a high standard for me, he is ultimately a striker and that he needs to be ticking the goal column over. Secondly, might the Guly doubters/haters be forced to keep quiet, at least for three days? Two goals, and so very very close to a hat-trick.

A tweet and a half from BBC's Jacqui Oatley:

"Dear #bbcfootball bosses, please send me back to St Mary's again soon. #SaintsFC a dream to watch: waves of passes like ripples in water"

Also from Jacqui Oatley when asked if she'd seen a better Championship team: "Not a chance! They're fabulous. Not just pretty but effective too. I might buy a scarf. #SaintsFC"

Just got back and, whisper it quietly, I actually thought I could be watching the Champions. Everyone played well, sometimes Jos worried me a bit (he seems a bit laid back). Good to see Fonte playing well now he's recovered from the injury he's carrying. We should have a whip round to buy Lambert a goal..he so deserves one for all the effort he puts in. It was close run between Ricky and Chaplow, but my MOM was Chaplow. Won everything and created so much. And the magical moment when Kelvin came out of his area and just casually headed the ball side ways to a Saints player when we all expected him to just head it as far as he could and the fans started singing,'We are Southampton and we're taking the piss.' Well done everyone including the fans.
