Blackburn <doh> ... Uncle Jack went shopping on Oxford St mate <laugh>... Shearer, Sutton, Batty, Sherwood, Le Saux and co ... pretty sure that was the most expensively assembled team/squad in the league that season ... you'd need to go back to the Brian Clough era to fund a real comparative... then probably the Villa side under Saunders/ Barton ...

Yes I am THAT old <laugh>

You said billions. Blackburn didn't spend billions. Just as importantly, our net spend between Klopp's arrival in 2015 and winning the league was not just below City's, United's, Chelsea's, Everton's and Arsenal's, it was level with West Ham's and Brighton's. In fact, our net spend in this period was closer to yours than it was to City's.
everyone buys players

it’s what you buy that shows your intent

splashing the cash breaking British transfer records left right n centre suggests you’ve got lots of money to spend…which is fine but it is what it is…I dont get why anyone tries to make out as though Blackburn were a club run on a shoe string when they won the title.

I just don’t see how that is anywhere the same as Lesta who were probably planning for another season of trying to fight for survival or mid table unlike Blackburn.
You didn't buy Diaz. :bandit:

Oh dear ... Net Spend Nancy is in the house <laugh> ...

... and "billions" was meant figuratively ... although not sure what converting Blackburn's spend then to it's now equivalent would be ... but the main point is that they bought the title ... so no real difference to what you and United have done historically and what Citeh, Chelsea and you have done more recently <whistle>

That's how FFP measures it, feller. Not that Russian oligarchs and Sheikhs can't simply buy their way out of that anyway, as witnessed by the fact that you won't be punished for being three times over the FFP limit in your quest to secure 17th place. :emoticon-0165-muscl

We appear to be at home to Mr Quote-****up as well as Net Spend Nancy <laugh>

@FosseFilberto

I'm going to give you the opportunity to end this all. I really don't want to continue if we can avoid it.

It's up to you.. I think you're a nice bloke and you've lost alot easier than I had originally anticipated, but I don't want you to feel it's anything other than friendly banter.

All you've got to do is say OK fair enough Munson you were right for the last 3 years and I was completely wrong.

If you choose to continue when I'm already winning 3 - 0 then that's quite admirable, but just remember my latest prediction is that your club becomes the next Blackburn.

You've been given an opportunity here Fosse... A way out, so release yourself or I will go to untold lengths and wait as long as it takes to make it 4-0 and good night sweetheart.

Ah, so don't actually quote what you say, try and determine what you mean from the syntax of your prose. Perhaps you'd like to express your argument through the medium of dance or finger paintings instead? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Can you put it in a graph, against net spend?

Possibly, but you either wouldn't understand it or you'd end up deflecting it by talking about referees and QAmong conspiracy theories like the spanner that you are.
