Arnott's still make them and they can be bought at supermarkets in Oz and NZ. The better ones are available at proper bakeries. I don't know about the British version.
Glad to hear that - Arnott's had an excellent range of biscuits, not just famous for Tim Tams. Come to think about it, their mint slices may be their version of the yo-yo ofh was asking about.
While we are on about biscuits, anyone remember Peak Freanes or was it Huntly and Palmers shortcake buiscuits, just wonderful, could have eaten a whole packet if I did not control myself. You used to be able to buy them loose out of a big tin box with glass lid. Ones that are sold today by others or as supermarket brands just do not cut it, they have changed the recipe. Sainsbury did a very close imitation until the changed the recipe and gave them a coconutty flavour.
I've never heard of shortcake biscuits - is that another name for shortbread or something completely different?
