Victor Conte, who was head of a company that helped athletes 'optimise' their performance using substances such as THG, has been on the record that the top 5% of athletes in any sport is on something to improve their performance. He says that what some companies do is take a banned substance, like a steroid, and change it slightly so that its chemical name is different. They'll engineer the molecule to be minutely different, but still achieve the same results. It will do the same thing as the banned substance but as WADA or USADA haven't tested it yet then it's deemed legal.

Then every couple of months the anti-doping agencies will find out about this new substance and ban it and the process starts over. But he's adamant that every top team in every sport is onto this.

For context, Victor Conte was found guilty of running a doping program that broke olympic records. He was the guy running Dwayne Chambers' doping program among other high profile athletes.

The thing about Kent for me was that he appeared to almost double his muscle mass in about 18 months. Either he's power lifting and eating obscene amounts of protein every day and minimising his cardio, or there's something else going on. Could be genetic, but to gain that much muscle in such a relatively short time is strange.

If you look at pictures of him from when he first signed to the start of this season there's a large increase in his physique. I find it hard to believe that a young man who does a huge amount of cardio would gain that much muscle.
