I am going to be very pessimistic, I can really see a defeat in this one. 2-1 to Middlesbrough - winning home run to an end.
I have gone for a narrow Saints win, but I too feel pessimistic for this game because we seem to have left our free scoring period. On the other hand, Boro have had a lot of draws and are low scoring. Take no notice of me..I'm often worried prior to a game especially when I'm going. I'm going to give myself a hug and knock my head against a wall
Agree with st Brendy, notch above other teams attack, and should be enough to win this game. 2-0 Saints. Feel this game may have a Guly and/or Conolly goal
Last time you were pessimistic (you thought Saints would take a small following to Palace!) you were completely and utterly wrong. Lets hope you are wrong again.
The trouble is that I will be devastated to be second (except at the end of the season) after being top for so long. Third...I can't even think about.
I'd love to be wrong, but I just can't see it. I have a really bad feeling about this one - i'm just not content with how we're playing at the moment
Beating West Ham, drawing away at Derby and having an off day at reading but still getting a point with 10 men, is not poor form. The lads will get back to their best today!
We started so brilliantly and got those good old points on the table. We're now finding it harder to score, but have managed to snatch two draws so are showing some resilience. Today would be a good chance to show our credentials against a team just below us. Would love to improve our GD bearing West Ham's GD in mind. We then have an 'easier' month, but could actually be harder games because these teams would definately be scrapping. An interesting time to say the least. Personally, think we will find it hard to be still top at Xmas. However, if we are within a few points of top in January I trust the team and Nigel to get us over the line.
I have had a cheeky bet on a 3-1 win with Morgan to score first how's that for being optimistic........however I have had this nagging feeling all morning that it might be the first home defeat of the season ....I really hope not though COYR
what the **** is wrong with you lot? We've played Derby away, West Ham at home and Reading away and got a good 5 points. One of them games we only had 10 men and we didn't have Lallana so stop moaning about how we're not playing well ffs
Glad to see Lallana back, with the way Adkins was dodging questions about his condition I was worrying he could have been out for a while! Interesting to see Guly up front, him and Lambert played well together last season, let's hope they work well together again
Im all for: Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox De Ridder Cork Scheniderlin Lallana Lambert Conolly/Guly/Barnard
