scottswan, swansea have certainly travelled the furthest in less than a decade!

mustyfrog, i think you are right... if van persie is injured (surely its just a matter of time) then arsenal should be an easy three points for us! :D i certainly don't fancy qpr's next three much!! they'll have to play a lot better than they did against chelsea. i thought they were very poor but at the end of the day, all that matters is the three points and thats what they got

good comment at the end of the post Super - u can play crap or great but at the end of the day its the result that counts

Unfortunately, I can see PL at Utd. That would be a truly horrible day, all those plastics chanting his name as he led them to european glory, oh jesus.
He has a clear ability to get the most out of players and many of the players at Norwich have dramatically improved in quality under his leadership. I don't think it matters what the Utd fans think (if that is not an oxymoron). But if Norwich do very well, (10th) then it makes it more likely that teams will chase him and if he stays a couple of seasons, then I can see him as a favourite for the Utd job, when Nero finally retires (after the recent mauling, that could be this season, especially if no silverware)

I'll get my two bob in now. I think and have thought from the start that we will stay up. I think we will finish 14th or 15th. Norwich is a tough one, a couple of injuries to key players and that could really affect them. Same with us but hopefully we'll add 3-4 players in Jan to make sure we have the sqaud. If they keep Holt, Wholawhasit and a few other key players fit they could by rights finish slightly above us. I'm punting anywhere beween 13th and 17th for Norwich but I think they will be safe. Swansea I fear for, sorry guys but Ill be happy to be proved wrong. Im going for 17th-19th. You'll either stay up by the skin of your teeth or go back down.

What will be interesting is the points we take when we all play each other. That could prove the difference in reality. So far only Norwich have beat Swansea at home. We havent played either of them. 12 points up for grabs, very important to get at least 7.

Getting a bit fed up with being told that we were poor against Chelsea tbh. We were 1-0 up after 25 mins with 11 v 11!! When we were up against 9 men we suddenly found ourselves red hot favourites to win and that meant that underdog syndrome hit us. In other words we got very nervous when we realised that we could/should win!! It's hard to predict what is going to happen, but it's a fair assumption that all 3 of us will be in the bottom half of the table come February. Our ability to buy in January MAY be the difference!

Well you did have a two man advantage most of the game??? Bit like that game against us at the Liberty, a few seasons back, when we lost our goal keeper, and our Center Back Alan Tate went in goal, you still couldn't win either!.........

PS: Just in case any of you QPR boys got bad memories, Dorus de Vries suffered a jaw and depressed cheekbone fractures following a challenge from your captain Martin Rowlands, how the hell he wasn't sent off in that game I'll never know! 0-0 was the Scorline 21/10/2008...............<ok>

He was sent off, aswell as Ben Watson. It was 2-0 and we didn't score with that thug in goal coz we had 9 men.

Err, you're wrong mate. The game Dorus had his face caved in was 0-0 and one of the worst "football" teams I've ever seen in my life (under Dowie, granted). You played about an hour with a CB to beat in goal and couldn't muster any efforts! How he wasn't sent off for that I'll never know

You're thinking about a separate game where you ended with 9 men ;)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...wansea-0-QPR-0-Swans-heap-pressure-Dowie.html

I still can't believe Dowie defended the challenge. The only extenuating circumstances I'd allow for is if Rowlands lost his balance, if he didn't, there was intent.

How can you call Alan Tate a thug whilst defending a player who broke someones jaw with his knee, and then got sent off for a dangerous lunge on Dyer in a completely separate game? Bit of objectivity...

It wasn't good, but it helped cost Dowie his job, so it wasn't all bad.
Couldn't believe it when they hired him.
