He and I had running battles over Van Gaal <laugh>

He genuinely believed that turgid dull sideways football was the future.

I think he left bcos of me :bandit:

He definitely left because he backed the wrong horse (obsessively) in van Gaal.

He was demonic in his support of a bloke who was obviously complete old hat.

He did reappear very briefly few years back, but not for long.

Still not Astro level of twat though.

Iirc he'd give us grief for not giving LVG a chance but couldn't see the irony of him writing off Moyes before he'd taken over the job.

He was an utter knobhead.

He was predictable. Biased. And one dimensional... But behind all that bias he was not a bad guy and surprisingly knowledgeable. I always wondered if the bias was all an act.

I actually remember saying that no good would come of van Gaal being employed, while the bloke was calling Moyes a **** two weeks after taking the job.

Regularly said 'but this squad just won the league', as if the previous manager who'd been in charge for 26 years had played no part in that.

Everything was Moyes's fault, while van Gaal got off scott free because he'd been a half decent manager somewhere else ten years previously.

Was utterly ****ing deludedly mad.

So this is what will happen

Lampard takes them down

Dyche tries to bring them back up

been in this game too long to not notice how the pieces are falling into place ready for Order 66 to be declared

sometimes UIR gave me Hiag sock account vibes but in the end he showed his true ****ishness as me and him had words in PM and he offered me a straightener - what a **** he was
