I think their squad is-was excellent
Firstly - I would never call Ronaldo
Easily on of the greatest of all time (hate saying that btw)
I wouldn’t say he was a bad signing but
At the end of last season Utd had just worked out a system that seemed to suit them and they were lethal playing on the break

they had Rashford Greenwood Martial
Pogba Fernandes
Now on paper that’s an excellent group of players

they then go into summer and get Sancho
Cracking signing

their squad at that point with the system they were playing starts to look scary

they also have Varane Cavani amongst others

in Comes ronaldo and it is looking really rosy - Then the **** hits
Multiple injuries
The greenwood situation (no one can underestimate how bad that screwed them over imho - and it was well out of the clubs control - total freak of a situation)
And pressure piles

I don’t think it takes a lot to correct Utd atm
Don’t know enough about the squad to talk detail but
If they sort out a system that suits the players they have
I think if they get a manager in who unites (and ten hag could very well be that guy) they can overcome most of their issues

I don’t know how to sort the top end of the club but Utd are plenty good enough to be back in the top 4 next season imho

Have you taken to writing in iambic pentametre?

Bit of a family crisis, so couldn't comment before. But 5-4-1 was RIGHT. Pogba though? Says all that he got more derision going off from United fans than Liverpool. But have to say, Bruno impresses me no more than him - undoubted talent, but goes missing in big games. Poor Phil Jones though... I was reminded of Piggy in Lord of The Flies. Cruel. :emoticon-0138-think
Jones should never have been near that pitch, think he has been involved in two games in nearly three years.
I love the guy, not a great talent but would die for the team and considers shedding blood normal.
Not a great talent but a true warrior, the camera went on him around 17 mins in the area while you were waiting to take a corner, the guy was ****ed and gasping for breath.
Too loyal and desperate to prove his worth for his own good.

Yeah, if he'd stuck with the actual wing backs in Dalot and Telles, on the correct side of the pitch, and played wan Bissaka as one of the three instead of Jones, there's no way it would have been as shambolic as it was.

Pogba should never start a game for us again after Saturday, let alone a match of this magnitude. He showed absolutely everything about himself by bottling it within ten minutes and faking injury.

I'm half in the mind to give Rangnick the benefit of the doubt that in playing Pogba and Lingard (and Jones to an extent) just to prove that these people have to exit the club in a few weeks time. A few of his selections were inexplicable otherwise.

When Pogba and Lingard go, they can take their stupid dancing partner Rashford with them for me as well, that's a permanently busted flush if ever I've seen one.

Not that he's danced, or even smiled, for a good while.

I don't want Rashford out tbh. His form may be **** and has been following his injuries/surgery but there's something else going on with him regarding his confidence at the moment but I think he genuinely still wants to be at the club and wants to do well. He's a different character to Pogba and Lingard imo and still has a lot of credit left in the bank, for me.

He's not trying.

I know there are other things going on, he was in every commercial break during the match last night, but it doesn't excuse him not trying. He used to be literally on the shoulder of whichever defender had the ball, pressing to get it back. He's nowhere near at the moment.

I think his mate Greenwood's situation is also bearing down on him.

Oh ffs. 1am Diego Fosse dick slapping.

Thread Notifications off.

I'd gone to bed mate ... turning your thread notifications off was just as pointless and nonsensical as your team ... but dissing one of your own (even if it was Diego) is '"very United" right about now <whistle>

I don't buy into the idea being in commercials or his off-field work is his priority or in any way impacting on his form. But there is something going on with him mentally or physically or both which is impacting on him and I believe it's everything to do with what's going on inside the club, with his own confidence, and I dare say what's going on in that dressing room.

I think he deserves a chance under the new manager. We'll have a much better idea of whether he has a future at the club under Ten Hag, who's been known to get the best out of players who have previously lost form. If he can't do it in a season under him then fair enough.

That's nice mate. If only you hadn't got out of bed now. Just don't make me turn them off again yeh.

Just watched the highlight of Maguire for one of Salah's goals.

Gives the ball away with a dodgy pass and then comes out of the back line leaving a huge space behind and exposing the other defenders.

I mean christ!

Seriously bad defending.

Playing offside on his own!

I mean come on!

Didn't see the fourth goal as I turned off and read a book after the third.

The third goal I did see; Lindelof lumped the ball straight to an opponent who simply recycled it forward and the ball was in the net after another couple of seconds.

Point is, Maguire gets blamed for everything when Lindelof gets away with too much. Lindelof isn't good enough. Maguire, with Varane alongside, is, just about.

It's not really Maguire's fault he's be lumped with the captaincy either, this idea he should be a leader of some sort. He'd be better off taken out of the limelight to concentrate on his job. Give that to someone else, he's obviously not comfortable with it.

And btw I don't doubt that's part of the reason he was given the captaincy in the first place, because out of everyone he probably fit the bill the most. But it hasn't worked out for him for whatever reason.

Rashford doing a Dele Alli

football gone to **** because he’s too distracted with being a politician amongst other things but no one dares call him out due to the cause he fought for during lockdown.

footballers should play football…that’s why they have any credibility in our lives. Once other things take over, politics, pussy, partying n fashion then they get distracted and tbh a bit too self important for their own good.

My advice to these footballers:

Just concentrate on kicking that pigs bladder about…there’s a good lad
