"Hopefully he doesn't have a good night's sleep tonight and that plays on his mind," Rooney told BBC Radio Derby.

"I think he needs to have a think about it.

"Where the club's been left, it was a complete mess. I know Mel Morris is a big Derby fan, so I'm sure he's sat at home tonight disappointed.

"We are disappointed as we've done everything we can to try and not let this happen and worked extremely hard."

I rate Rooney

says big man tingz

respect

Rangnick seems to be setting up the new boss up to fail. Saying it should take 2 or 3 seasons if you know what you're doing adds pressure and Utd are in a worse state than we were when Klopp took over imo.

They will ruin Ten Hag

cant wait

From nurturing youngsters who are hungry for success in the game and on relative modest wages to managing fat greedy pigs with full bellies and big egos

it will be fun viewing

What's your take on what Ralf said? Seems a daft statement that adds pressure to the next manager at a time where you really need someone to come in and change things around over time.

I think he's a decent appointment for Utd. Worked wonders at Ajax, but it's a big step up to what is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Utd have a raft of problems atm that's gonna take a while to sort out. Ragnick is right to point out that there's no overnight fix there.

Same with us, we're still clearing out deadwood from the end of the Wenger/Emery years. Fans need to have patience with new managers, too many expecting instant success like they are playing a game of FIFA or sumin

Just think he's being realistic with the situation personally .
