I’m ok with graduates paying back loans for their higher education if and when they can afford to…..however when I’m seeing headlines of them having to pay up to 12% interest on these loans…..it makes me think they are trying to dissuade working class kids from putting themselves into such debt, thus leaving the “elite” to become the educated class and keeping the status quo.

Loans for higher education are interest free here and you only repay it once your wage gets to a certain amount
If you move abroad you gat hit with interest
I think we are owed about 12 billion dollars so far

The Invention of the Modern Skip



The modern skip - a large container that enables the storage of unwanted items and can be transported on the back of a lorry - was invented in the UK by Edwin Walker in 1922. He was an employee of a lorry manufacturer and keen to develop a system of bulk disposal that was less reliant on the horse and cart of the traditional rag-and-bone man. The lorry transportable skip was his solution and it quickly caught on.

I will stop trying to be ironic Stainsey.

I am right behind you on your point of the cute cuddly acceptability of taking certain refugees over other ones who are not as cute and cuddly.

I am also fully aware of todays allies are yesterday foes and ogres.

I am also fully aware of identifying one characteristic in a bad person, to label every person who roughly fits the bill as also evil.

All of us do it...but some do it more than others.

On that note I am off to bed.

So the government have said they will not send families to Rwanda. It has been suggested that will that encourage the traffickers to put more women and children onto the boats...increasing the risk to them.

I am also reading Israel had a similar deal with Rwanda, but stopped it...when their illegal imagrants didn't stay put and turned up again...which means to me there is already a "underground network" in place to get the people out of Rwanda.

Has this been thoroughly thought through?

The Australian system worked out at £1.9m per refugee. Its a system totally designed not to relocate any of them to the uk..ever!!!
