Saving Private Ryan. Ive only seen it right through once. Cant watch it due to the bit when the knife slowly plunges into that blokes chest. Ive watched the rest of the carnage, the landings in particular, numerous times. But that bit was the worst bit. Just a slow death, up close and personal. Horrific!

Stalag 17 is one of my favourite war films.

Kelly's Heroes. Most war films with Telly Savalas in it. He's a hoot!

The Terminator. Superior to the 2nd one I reckon. Arnie perfectly cast in probably the only role he could be perfectly cast in. I mean, he sounds like a futuristic cyborg in real life!

He was cast as Kyle Reece and O J Simpson was cast as the Terminator. He didn't want to be the Terminator as he was the baddie. He told Cameron how the Terminator would act, speak, move etc, Cameron told him he was going to be the Terminator and he refused. He wanted to be the hero. After a few weeks he changed his mind, the rest is history Also, there isn't a word in Austrian for "I'll". So when he first said the line in the police station he said "I will be back", Cameron said cut, Arnold didn't want to say "I'll" as it sounded too feminine. In the end, Cameron won and Arnold said "I'll be back".
ps.... I know my Arnold trivia. lol

    • Primer
    • About Time
    • Happy Death Day

Westerns with John Wayne, True Grit my favourite Clint Eastwood films Gran Torino was excellent most of the old war movies Bridge over the River Kwai, Guns of Navarone, etc some of the musicals mentioned including The Greatest Showman Mama Mia, Gladiator Mean Machine the original, John Wick, Jason Bourne films, Mission Impossible series , The untouchables and the Green Mile and I’m sure many others including Tom Hanks who has made some very good stuff. I’ll keep thinking .
