Huddersfield v Luton on tonight mate. <ok>
Went to Spurs v Luton in the late 80s.
We're one down, down to 10 men flood lights went off, came back on, equalised, went down to 9 men and then scored the winner.
It was the game that led to Paul Stewart becoming a very good midfielder and a cult hero at Spurs.
Brave man all round too as it turned out

Couldn’t get a ticket last time they were up

I tried

I did think that might be the case actually. I was reading an article on Palace the other day and how difficult it was to get just a match day ticket, having to join membership schemes and all that shhite. Hudders would be in the same situatioon as the South London club, with only a 24,500 capacity.

For some reason, everytime I hear the name Luton, I can't help thinking of what kicked off between them and Millwall all them years back, I think it tarnished the club for decades.

yeah zero chance unless someone gave me their ticket which wasn’t happening

shd have bought a season ticket the year they went up

£120 ffs

Was that the one with the fans kicking lumps outta each other on the pitch?
Was brutal to watch iirc

Yup, up there with some of the worst cases ever of football violence. I'm sure one of the Swansea lads on here, use to run a forum that it's main base was Luton Town supporters, all seemed a pretty decent bunch to be fair.

Yeah shame that, but you had no way of knowing.

I'm seeing non league clubs like Wrexham pulling average crowds of 8-9k at the moment, they must be giving tickets away to attract those sort of attendances.

How can that possibly be more impressive compared to West Hams escape in 07 (ignoring the tevez stuff) or Leicesters escape in 2015?

Some people have no memories <doh>
They live in a different world to everyone else, pal. You can't work them out, I've lived amongst them all my life and I've still got no answer as to why they're like this.

Saw fans in Mexico on YouTube a few weeks back ... they made the Luton Millwall kick off look like a picnic.
Stripped oppo fans naked after knocking them out and stamped on their heads ... amazed no one died...40+ hospitalised <yikes>
