So who has released all this info about Sunak and his wife.

It seems they hasn't done anything wrong.

Starmer is a careful, perhaps over cautious lawyer, would know that...and so has been quite measured in his response.

Boris saying to camera, we should not be attacking a politicians (Sunak) wife

This is a blue on blue attack isn't it.
When johnson says he didnt do or say something, then look to the opposite for the truth.

Stop being the accountant and consider what's right, mate.

When in government, Labour had a chance to remove the laws on Non-Doms. It chose not to, presumably because it didn't want to upset foreign donors to the Labour Party. The Tories have tightened up the rules, but still this anomoly of Non-Doms exist. Better just to scrap it.

Could well be blue on blue. It's common knowledge that Boris isn't happy with Rishi Sunak's budget and feels more help should be given to those struggling financially.

Tories will say Boris's attitude is beneficence. Labour will say it's just because he want's to be reelected at the next GE.

I love all this skullduggery and behind-backs plotting. I only wish more of the general public would open their eyes and really think about the calibre of people they elect again and again and again. We’re only giving them permission to be twats.

Johnson has never in his life done anything for the benefit of anyone but himself.

Yeah, probably true. He has that in common with a lot of leaders. You only have to look at his private life to see that he's a selfish git. But for me, he's performing well over the Ukraine issue, and Zelensky has said Ukraine values the UK's military support over that from the other main Western economies, so he's getting that right. When he focuses and doesn't take things for granted, he has the values of a leader but perhaps not a wonderful human being imo.

Sadly, the British public long since abandoned the notion that their elected leaders should in some way be principled individuals in their private lives.

I'm less concerned about their private lives than what they do in office. Either way, this is the most unprincipled government I've known. I suppose we'll see at the next election whether the British public cares any more about principles.

I think what a politician does in his/her private life tells you a lot about their character. If they’re happy to betray friends or family then why would they feel any obligation to the electorate?

oh dear well mr Johnson’s private life… full of betrayal just ask his ex wives.

That’s a great idea. Why not put all the world leaders into the Ukraine, one in each major city, and let Putin know. He either keeps up the artillery fire and ends up killing a few, or firing ceases. It’s a win/win.
