He will be new to the PL and therefore unproven.
He is probably a good coach, but he is going to need good people around him to get to grips with everything going on at such a behemoth of a club. It’s the size and structure of the club which can overwhelm - only SAF has been able to handle it (and he thrived in it because he was an excellent delegator).
Some suggestion Schteve McClaren might be his assistant?
 
Benzema is honestly a fine wine of a footballer.

Mind you, he’s not the only Madrid player you can say that about.

His work rate is insane.

In as much as that goal was down to Mendy messing up, it doesn't happen without Benzema sprinting (not running) 40 yards to press the ball when most strikers would've shrugged and not bothered.
